need advice asap

As usual with these threads, my generic advice is usually:

- Check the exclusives for each console, pick the one you like the look of the most
- Which console do most of your gaming friends have

That being said I believe PS4 gets something earlier with COD, map packs or something? So if COD is your main game, PS4.

To add to the above, consider which controller you prefer. If you've had a PS3 before the PS4 controller might be more familiar.

Xbox One has the option of the Elite controller which looks like it would be pretty good for games like COD. Although there are probably similar third party controllers that offer similar customisation/functionality available for PS4 too.

McBain hit the nail on the head though.

Get a SNES. Hours of fun. Much Joy. Such Wow.

But really, it is down to what appeals to you more. As Squirrel and McBain have said only other thing I could add is VR. If that is your thing in the near future, short term wise, kinect seems to have more games geared towards it than PS camera.

I was PC + 360 for a long time, last PS i had was PS2, got ps4 mainly because 1. Got it cheap, 2. All my friends are on it.

This pretty much !

Sort of. :p

I have both but I just can't get on with the Xbox controller at all. Not quite sure why one thumb is higher than the other. PS4 controller is perfect.

I was always the opposite, never got on with the PS3 pad even though i'd had PS1 and 2. The One pad feels perfect to me.

Saying that, i'm more than comfortable with the PS4 pad, I think it's the best PS pad yet.

Fair enough, I find the opposite, feels more natural to me to have both thumbs in the same place with one covering the left analogue stick and the other covering the buttons. PS controllers feel weird to me.

I made the switch to PS4 this time round and one thing that I miss about the 360 is the controller. PS4 pad is ok but the thumbstick location isn't as good as Xbox.

But I'm weird as I thought the N64 controller was excellent!

Haha i also loved the N64 controller back in the day !

Ps4 has better deals, is cheaper and more powerful. It also has a new model/chassis which is silent, the internal hard drive can be upgraded in 2 minutes.

The only thing in favour of the xb1 is cheaper online service, exclusives like halo, etc.

I have both and my ps4 sees like 99% usage compared xb1.

That's because the N64 controller was excellent

Cant use PS4/PS3 controllers since having Xbox 360 + Xbox One.

I also have a Scuff Controller + Xbox Elite Controller :D

The Elite is an amazing controller which is far better that any Scuff controller, cheaper too! :)

As everyone has said its literally down to personal preference... the consoles are virtually the same in Hardware/Graphics. However think about the exclusives too! I often debate getting a PS4 due to Last of us, Uncharted and Until Dawn

Plus the better controller with longer battery life that also suits your audiophile needs. Well going by your previous posts anyway.
