Check for 4 cylinder diesel engine. Reject if present.

:D

OP, robj20 is right on checking the spec is correct. I know certainly on Briskoda there's a concerning number of people waiting months for a factory order, then realising xyz is missing or wrong on the car. Another occasional one is 'rock hard suspension' where the person doing the PDI failed to remove the transport blocks! I'm sure it'll be fine, enjoy the new motor (which is what, btw?). :)

Make sure it's Supergaurded as that's a must have. I'd also get some gap insurance but pay no less that 500 quid as less won't be as good.

Worst, Im having a new car thread ever :)

Check the sheep have been removed from the boot as well :)

enjoy the car

Ensure flux capacitor has been charged fully prior to departure and all flanges are checked and in place. Best to get that gap insurance to cover them flanges as well, absolute nightmare if they go wrong.

First check the specs are as you requested, then the condition of the car. I like to check fluid levels as well.

Heh, this reminds me of a situation that happened to my dad. Back in about 2007 he had a brand new X type being delivered through the company car leasing scheme. He had deliberated for ages on the colour combo and spec and eventually settled for a really nice metallic red with cream interior. The thing shows up on a low loader on time, in the right colour, with all of the options fitted. But they had managed to order the saloon rather than estate

Much embarrassment ensued - as he had already waited about 8 weeks for it, they had to try and find something in stock, he ended up settling for a much less desirable blue/grey combo (funnily enough the same colour combo I'm driving around in now!) and a decent amount of compensation.

So spec mistakes do happen, sometimes really big ones! :D

Check they've fitted the black wheels with ridiculously low profile tyres, or you may not get a harsh ride. The solid white paint won't look as good without them either.

My old boss had a similar thing, ordered his new E class Merc in silver with grey interior...it turned up 12 weeks later in silver with black interior. He flat-out rejected it and the lease company had to order another one with the right colour combo.

Sounds a right knob

Mum ordered an automatic and was built as a manual, so yea, make sure you check everything.
