New 390 strix is this normal?

Just installed my new GC when i turn on the pc i get this for 2 seconds before windows loads .

Normal?

No, definitely not normal. I'm sorry to say that it could well be faulty.

Try reseating the card / checking cables, etc.

What make/model power supply are you using? Perhaps its not up to the task. The R9 390 does consume a considerable amount of power.

whats you power supply? Could be not enough power. Also try in another slot or pc. If still the same then RMA.

OCZ ZS Series 750W 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply , tried changing slot , still showing that image for a couple of seconds when starting up.

If its normal when the desktop loads, it could just be the motherboards splash screen just messed up, in which case, its nothing to worry about, and can be turned off from displaying in the BIOS.

Try switching bios on gpu but if everything works in games, etc then probably a motherboard bios issue.

As already said ... Turn off the Bios splash screen in the Bios then download one of the benchmark tools and just test the card .... I use Heaven to test with.

If the card is having issues this will show it in the tests

This - my 380 does something similar right before the POST screen. Hundreds of hours of gaming done on it though, and no problem

I think they look Good ill download it and give that one ago as well as I have not used that version.

I ran the test but for the life of me cannot work out how to get to the combined view that you have linked ....

You run the full test and it should come up automatically when finished

I know our systems are not even close to being the same but when you compare this with yours I think this shows your card and cpu combo are working really well.

Its nothing, thats just the free copy of space invaders that comes pre installed on the card.

lol yea bios splash screens can do that sometimes.......better to ask and find out its nothing than get bit later on
