Both Cars parked apparent hit issue

Thing is a car door ding won't necessarily show as any kind of damage on the paintwork but it can still leave a dent in the panel which shows if you look at it from an angle.

Tbh though it's a fact of life you leave your car at the mercy of others when parked in any car park.

bit of an ass parking with his driver side that close to the white line anyway.
I see you parked across in your bay to leave room next time just park as close as possible lol

Probably just venting his Aldi based rage. I mean after you've picked your way through the Isles cluttered with cages and old cardboard boxes, waited ages only to have everyone in the queue behind you directed to till 2 which is now opening and topping the whole experience off with having your purchases launched at you at 4 items a second. That sends me into a manic rage too.

I'd just ignore it and start shopping at waitrose.

Unless you're a stick man or can bend the rules of physics there's no way you got a child in that door without it touching his car, still I'd have told him to foxtrot oscar if his first reaction is to act like a child having a tantrum with no visible damage.

I was actually sat in my car a couple of weeks ago when some old bloke opened his car door and hit my door! Luckily there was only a slight mark, but even though I saw him do it he still denied it.

I find it hard to believe you managed to get your daughter in her seat without coming in contact with that car. Just saying.

While I'm inclined to agree... your responses are based on the assumption that his daughter's seat is on that side of the car ;)

Personally if I was 100% sure that I hadn't hit it I wouldn't have given him my details and I don't understand why you did?

You think someone would claim he hit their car if he was stood the other side?

Bit early for Christmas alcohol aint it?

geniune lols, sums up my last trip to aldi

This is the only shop I'll put myself through the pain of visiting after a long day at work, my general shopper rage doesn't seem to surface maybe it's the higher number of attractive female shoppers or just the general relaxed feeling of the place.
Asda, Aldi etc have to be saved for when I'm having a good day or else there is a high chance of murder.

A swift "**** off" is all I would have given him. Who'd park like that and not expect the car beside to have to squeeze in and out?

I don't see why not?

The driver's door is on that side, so the OP would have been getting in and out of that side regardless - the guy could be claiming he hit his car with the driver's door - the OP doesn't specify

Regardless, it stinks of a scam - the guy was probably hoping that instead of giving your insurance details you'd just give him the £50 - it's a low enough value that most people would rather pay it than lose their NCB and suffer increased premiums for 3-5 years.

Chances are nothing will come of it; if he does try to go through insurance then he's an idiot, because a) he'll have to declare it and the increase in his premiums will likely be more than the £50, b) there's no proof you did it, so you could just deny it and if asked why you gave your details then tell them he was intimidating you and your daughter and you were trying to defuse the situation.

The driver door does not align to hit the other car under the wing mirror.

I do agree though, other driver just seems like a scum bag chancer.
