Steam Winter Sale 2015

People do realize the front page is "HIGHLIGHTED DEALS" not 'daily deals'?

No flash or daily deals during Steam autumn, winter sales
We'll still be highlighting your top games on the front page for 24-48 hour spans, but those products will stay at their most competitive discount, before and after being featured,
For a brand new release, if you can't get approval for your best discount for the full length of the sale, that's OK and we can work on a plan for that game. But the vast majority of your catalog should be running its best discount for the duration of the sale

Was hoping cs:source would be 75% off. Can get it cheaper from key sites.

This is going to be the case for all games going forwards. No more Steam flash sales.

Steam is legit tho, and CD keys sites are grey market. Which (depending on your own judgement) either are or aren't quite legit.

That's why I was waiting for the sale. Had a couple of bad keys from sites before so prefer getting things in the sales.

There is a pack with source in for less than source itself so I'll grab that.

Sure I got a complete counter strike set which included cs:go for about £5 a few sales back should have grabbed a couple extra as gifts.

Urgh

It's normally these times of year when I realise just how many unplayed games I have on Steam, or I go to buy something to find I already own it, but don't remember buying it.

I'll probably get Witcher 3 if the deal is good enough

£5 is now my general limit for 'cheap' games. So, from my wishlist so far I've got:

- Fallout 3 GOTY edition
- Dark Souls - Prepare to Die Edition
- RYSE - Son of Rome

I'm ok with that, though may have got them cheaper off key sites. I doubt whether the rest on my wishlist will appear...

Picked up the Scandinavia expansion for Eurotruck Sim 2, that's probably going to be the limit of my interest in the Steam sales for this year.

I'd pick up the first Dark Souls again if only I didn't have a short temper...

Just found out scrolling down, down, down are even more games. Eeeep!

Im in a bit of a FMV adventure mood

Tesla Effect £2.99
Missing: An interactive thriller £0.69
Sherlock Holmes consulting detective collection £0.99
Life is Strange Ep1 £1.99

£6.66 :D

Meh, wasn't expecting much since Steam sales have been pretty dire since they stopped doing the publisher/theme packs a few years ago, but even by my expectations this is bad.

Just Cause 3 was about the only thing I was interested in and it's still cheaper elsewhere.

Don't really want to spend money but there is a few things I want, but not almost zero chance of coming up.
DLC for Galactic civilisation 3
Fallout 4
Xcom 2
Plague inc evolved

Don't bother with Plague Inc evolved. Unless it has had some major, game changing updates in the past year it is an identical copy of the free flash game Pandemic 2, except with one or two graphical enhancements and one very very minor "gameplay" mechanic that adds zero value to the game.

Game link for you: http://www.kongregate.com/games/darkrealmstudios/pandemic-2

I know most of you guys don't like nerdcubed, but he did a decent video a year ago where he played both back to back so you can see the differences for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5edMu-Y-ylA
