*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Posted this on reddit but apparently it's not allowed so was taken down.

HCG are selling limited edition prints of vanilla destiny subclasses. I really like the 2 hunter ones (bladedancer and gunslinger).

However you may like others or them all?

Hopefully he does one of the 3 new subclasses at some point.

this isn't official stuff, just some artist has made some limited edition prints (limited to 100). they are pretty cheap if you live in america. postage to uk makes them probably slightly expensive but i think big fans will find them pretty reasonable/cheap.

Got mine now thanks, some bloke on reddit was helping people out and explained the spawn triggers/tactics. Did it first run then :).

Anyone else on here on PSN need a hand?

Past 24 hours have been good - ToM, BS, first HM run (up to Oryx at least). Now at 313 light :D.

this is very good video

Disagree with it, but its a very good video :)

following points in video:

Time saver should be cheaper $10 and unlock all 3 sub class fully and take you to max light 40 (current price is stupid, but time saver is good idea)

not pay to win due to not paying for exotic weapons or 320 stuff directly.

My point, if they did the above.

Challenge modes will drop 320 (max light directly) you can delete and start again over and over.

good to see what destiny community find acceptable, strange how no other major youtube person covered these items?

yet these youtube people fly out to bungie events, and create videos on anything destiny.

Planet Destiny Podcasts are a must if you are a Destiny fan, I listen to most of their releases on a weekly basis now.

Even though I do not play the game any longer I still find the chat about the game interesting and laugh at how no matter what the developers say the game is getting worse and worse.

Mind saying that.. I remember the grind just to get from 29 - 30.. the players have it was easier now due to the multiple options on offer these days.

We only had Crota HM and had to rely solely on RNG for a Helm drop.

Still didn't stop me trying for 10 hours a night.

TTK has been out for months now and I kow 1 person who is 319 which isn't even max.

I would say it's 100 times harder to hit max now simply because 320 drops are so rare and you then need to infuse them into decent stuff. You also now have levels on primary, special and heavy weapons, ghosts, artifacts and cloaks.

So you went from levelling 4 pieces of armour to levelling 10 different things of which very rarely drop at max light level. I've not had any 320's drop bar challenge mode.

I'm usually 315ish for the raid but 305 for trials. I take a -10 level drop due to my trials gear not being infused as much.

Stopped playing this when I realised all new content would be "events" based around microtransactions.

I don't agree with the way Bungie have taken the game and wont be buying the sequel. I put some serious hours into this game too.

Honestly think the level boost is bad, it gives you a clear advantage, it removes hours of grinding from the game for you, and your paying for that. They (Bungie) promised it would only ever be cosmetic changes but its not this brings actually in game benefit, if you and your friend both start and his Level 25 with a full upgraded subclass his much further along the game then you. Getting a subclass fully level'd up is a lot of work, **** takes forever. I level'd my hunter too Lv40, finished raids on it, finished ToO runs and its still not max'd out a single sub class.

Some streamers are starting too get tried of this game and how its broken in many parts. I think if youtubers a lot of them only got famous from Destiny, and they are all "buddies" with people at bungie. If you check out Crucible Radio podcast for example they had some of the PVP leads on and they just joked about how stupid and angry the community is for no reason at all times. When this is by far the worst I've seen Destiny period. Whats more interesting as how some of the developers come across, they seems very arrogant and think whatever they think is good is the whole grail.

At one point they could everyone stupid for not running max recovery instead of armour, and used the 165 base health too justify certain nerf's in the game, when anyone serious about the game runs maxish armour (Enough too survive a tripmine). Honestly I think Bungie cares less and less about the game, and more about how they can release freemium content. I mean run glitch was fixed last patch, ***** still broken as ****, weapon balance seems too have gone full crucible back too Thorn/TLW. Game seems too be getting laggier/buggier too the point where I straggled one day just too form a fireteam.

Unless things change fast I think this game is going too die out. No reason too get it over xmas since we have much bigger recent hits like CoD, Halo, Fallout 4 etc etc etc. No idea when the next meaningful content drop will come, and if its not better then Corta then RIP, and really it has too come before Division or they lose the uniqueness that Destiny brings too the table.

I'm out now until a new raid or decent size content drop. It's been fun though! Hoping a lot of the OCUK Destiny crew get in on The Division, met a lot of good people through Destiny :)

I've been out since the Halloween festival and am quite happy.

I think I go against the grain saying that I enjoyed the game more before the Taken King dropped.

They ruined it for me by:
- Tying some of the exotics to specific quests and then having them drop at lower levels of light than the max. I liked it better when you could compete an activity and have a chance at getting any exotic in the game even if the one you wanted didn't drop most of the time.

- Ruining the nightfall by doing away with the nightfall modifier and making the drops a pile of rubbish. Also limiting it to hardly any strikes.

- Giving raid armour a range of light levels to drop at. I used to love getting a new raid piece and knowing you'd got one of the best items in the game. Now you get what you need, check the stats and realise it's entry level guff.

- Making the old raids obsolete. Vault of Glass (when it was hard) is the most fun I've had in the game and they've never got close to that with any of the new content.

- The Oryx fight is ruined by the one person dies and it's all over setup and a team should be able to recover if someone dies. It sucks all the fun out of what is a decent raid up until that point.

- Microtransactions.

- Knowing that we'll grind our asses off to hit max level and then they'll just give it to everyone straight away when the next expansion drops. I'm not putting in the time to hit 320 with the current drop system when I know I can just buy 320 level armour and weapons when the next expansion comes out.

So to all you guys and gals I've met through this game it was fun while it lasted and I'll maybe see you around in other games but as for Destiny's 10 year plan - I'm out.

Gotta agree with some of the comments in here about Bungie and how they royally messed up this great game. The past few weeks I've been slowly getting bored by the constant grinding for really **** all. Last night ran a nf and I got absolutely sweet FA and it's been like that for the past few weeks.

I'm sat at 317 light now and I'm not sure if I can be bothered to grind and get to 320, it's just far too much hassle imo. The whole sparrow racing is a waste of time as well, doesn't interest me even though it's meant to give out decent drops.

Saying all that, I'm still playing it but not as much as I was before or maybe an hr here and there. Just hoping that bungie do something special for the next content drop but I'm not holding out much hope for that.

Tbh once you hit about 315+ it's pointless grinding imo as most if not all the drops you will get will be useless to you unless you need to level up like a 280 weapon that dropped with a perfect roll.

It's just not worth the hassle. Raiding just feels like a chore your doing it because you need to rather than want to.

For me it's about the PvP. You're always going to get bored of PvE content. I used to play Competitive CoD and whilst BO3 is the best since BO2 It's still more of the same. Destiny PvP for me is a real nice change of pace and more of a challenge which will keep me playing for a while.

Yeah, thats the issue you meet a lot of great people, but I'm not hopeful for a Raid drop till Destiny 2. I've looked at the Division and I really think its a cut off point, if its out before good content then oh well.

PVP has been the worst, most frustrating aspect of the game for me. As it stood, a month ago when I last played it, the PVP is considerably worse than when the game shipped over a year ago.

The constant pandering to those that cry "nerf" at everything that kills them has left us with an absolute mess of a game. The P2P networking is horrid and most of the problems with the PvP game mode stem from it.
