Reimage Laptop?

Hi there,

I bought a OcUK Extreme P170EM 17.3" (the "Clevo" chassis?)from Overclockers back in Dec 2012.

I dont really use it and want to give it to my niece who is into photography.

Is there an easy way to reimage the OS to have a fresh start on it?

Also can you completely disable the fingerprint login? the worst invention in PC history imho.

As long as you still have the key for the OS install all is good.

Use speccy to find the key (Under OS tab)

Grab the required ISO (home premium, professional or ultimate) all can be downloaded from the net, you just need to look (Windows 7 forum good place to start)

Or directly from Microsoft.

Then run Microsoft's DVD/USB tool and do a fresh install.

Just don't install the drivers?

If you've got a Windows 7 COA on the bottom the quickest option would be to grab the latest windows 10 build from microsoft, install onto USB stick. boot off USB and enter the COA for Windows 7 and then activate once you've installed all the drivers.

Normally you can go into the BIOS and turn off the finger print reader.
