I recently bought a Topping VX1 and have it powering Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers. The sound is amazing compared to my old Logitech 2.1 set up.

What are you guys using?

Don't use speakers much from my PC - I've a pair of Edifier R1600Ts for when I do.

I use my own DIY amp for the headphones (Sennheiser HD600 generally though I use others for gaming and even earbuds), powered off either my Creative X-Fi (internal soundcard) or a couple of different USB DACs depending on what I'm doing.

Asus STX > Edifier R1600Ts or AKG K702 headphones for gaming, video and occasional music

Schiit Modi > Schiit Vali > Sennheiser HD650 headphones for music

Since the PC is where I spend most of my music listening time, I have this:

NAD D 7050, KEF Q300 and Sennheiser HD650.

I am considering a dedicated headphone amp rig though, the NAD is good, but I am curious what else is possible. Was looking at Bifrost and Valhalla 2, but that works out quite expensive. Then last night I also noticed the Modi 2 and Vali 2. Leaves the 7050 to cover the speakers and other source inputs, with the Modi and Vali covering headphones only.

Thoughts?

Hoping to pick up a Schiit Modi 2 Uber soon, which will connect to my Vali and then to AKG K7xx headphones. I also have a pair of Edifier R1600T speakers.

Asus STX -> Exposure 1010 Integrated Amp -> Kef Q700 speakers

Use the Senn PC 360 headset for gaming unless wife not watching TV and playing Elite Dangerous which makes full use of the Hifi.

My Main PC setup includes:

Audient ID22 USB Interface, connected to a set of KRK Rokit 6 G3's and a pair of Sennheiser HD558's for music, gaming and Teamspeak. I tend to do a little bit of music production/sound mixing as well, with Pro Tools, where I use either my speakers or my closed Sennheiser HD380pro's.

When listening to music on my PC with headphones I have a pair of AKG K7XX's.

For when I'm out and about I use an iBasso DX50 with a pair of Ostry KC06's (or the upgraded pair, KC06A's).

Really like my setup at the moment, however will be looking to be getting a dedicated headphone amp and a portable one for my Dx50 at some point this year. Would love to get a pair of HD 650's this year also, but that may be out of my budget as I am planning on purchasing the new Pascal cards later on in the year too.
