Are there any USB C wall chargers available other than from google.

Noticed amazon have a fair few decent length type c cables now, so ordered a 3M long one but need a type c charger now.

Any USB A wall charger would be fine if you use a proper compatible cable* (such as the Orzly v2 USB A to C cables), but it won't quick charge.

I've no idea if there's a compatible quick charger or battery pack out there yet, but I can't imagine it will be long.

* Make sure that it is certified though, as most of the cables (at least initially) could damage the phone, USB port or the USB hub. Andy made a thread here with some good info.

There's an app on the Play Store that shows if your cable is compatible, but I've found that basically if you plug your phone into a powered USB hub and it says it's "charging quickly" or "rapidly" then it's not a compatible cable - it's pulling juice from the USB hub than it should - the cable doesn't have the necessary resister to regulate power. It's what happens when a host of iffy manufacturers try to cash in from the sudden demand for USB C cables.

I had a feeling it might be too soon for type c chargers to be around, the car chargers come out much faster.

Loads of cables now within spec i have a fair few different ones, fast charging doesn't indicate an out of spec cable. Just limits it to 1.5A which i think still shows as fast charging.

Anyone had any issues with call quality with this phone? My mrs has been complaining that she can't hear me very well when I use this phone. I used to have a nexus 4.

Quite a lot of posts out there about this including the 5X. Disappointing as I currently want to upgrade to one from my One M7 which also suffers the same problems frustratingly and I have to use Speakerphone all the time.

Seems to have been acknowledged by Google and there's a few theories and usage tips to aid the situation. It is putting me off right now though.

I want a stock Google phone like my One M7 and this about as good as it gets.

Strangely enough, just disabled developer and it works now.

Another thing I have yet to see the phone charge at anything like 3a, right now with the charger and cable that come with it I'm seeing 1200ma and it says a max of 1800ma. That's using ampere.

Looks like the gold version is about to be unleashed onto the Google store. You can't select it yet.

I've managed to bag the graphite 64gb which has been out of stock for a few days.

Simply charge from around 5% to 75%. If it can do 5 to 50% in around half an hr, it'll be fast charging.

I'm a bit of a phone junkie in that I have 2,3 or 4 a year. The longest I've ever owned one was the Nexus 5 (@16mths...for me, an ETERNITY..!) The only thing for me that let it down was the battery life, which was offset by the wireless charging facility - whenever I was home, pop it on one the many w/chargers we have spread around the house, and back up to good health again.

This was let down obviously when away from home when you'd be nervously watching the level dropping all the time. Eventually, I got a GS5 with it's much better battery life (and a wireless add-on) it was happy days(ish).

I really wanted the pure Android experience again and after reading the great reviews on the 6p, thought that's the one for me!!

However, after playing with one in a shop, I found it was just TOO big....why didn't they let Huawei do exactly the same phone, but in 5.7inch AND a 5inch screen size, and see how the sales went to gauge the customer preferences?

I'm still tempted for the 6P though (the 5X seems like a cheaper 'compromise' tbh...) but in reality, I know that after having a OnePlus One for a few months, that MY ideal size phone is around the 5" mark.

The various comments about not being able to manage larger phones 'with one hand' don't apply to me though, as I always use both hands when using my mobile - regardless of size, that's probably why I've never ever dropped one...most of have two hands, why not use them both?
