Motors YouTube Videos

There was a time when I thought I wouldn't mind going to the Nurburgring, but watching videos like that puts me off. See quite a few large crashes on what appear to be fairly innocuous corners.

I think they key is choosing your time carefully - when I went there I got there as soon as it opened, and it was so quiet that I barely had any other cars to contend with at all. It also really helps having a passenger who knows the track layout so they can give you braking points etc.

It's obvious really. Don't outdrive the car, yourself or the conditions.

I think some people get carried away. It's big circuit, could be wet in some places and not others etc. A lot of the corners look fairly stragit forward but it's still a narrow circuit with big curbs and off camber sections. Might be OK getting into one corner all speedy but when it comes to changing direction almost after it crops people up trying to brake whilse steering or just trying to carry the speed on the wrong line. Curbs can throw most cars off pretty easily too.

Just gotta go at a quieter time and build yourself up. I'd love to go if I ever have a car I'd enjoy driving around it but I wouldn't be thinking I could take it on flat out by any means. I'd enjoy exploring the limits mind you.

Love what Lexus are doing at the moment, great vision and a breath of fresh air in the motoring world. This is what happens when you let the engineers design the car and not accountants.
