Mainstream media and hollywwod would tell you that OBL died in 2011 in a raid but really he died in 2001 from ill health. Funny thing is, the mainstream media reported it too. There's still articles up about him dying in 2001 lol

I'm saying that the argument that it MUST be true BECAUSE it's in the mainstream is bad, circular logic.

I am not commenting on whether it's true, I'm commenting on the thought process used to arrive at the conclusion that it's definitely true because it's mainstream.

That's the worst logic, coming from someone who tries to come across as an intellectual.

Muslims and Jews don't believe Jesus was the son of God, for example. That doesn't mean that they don't believe in the same god, it just means that the larger picture is the same but the details are different.

They are called the Abrahamic religions, it's all the same stuff from different points of view.

They do not have the same God. For Christians Jesus is God incarnate, Jews do not consider Jesus as God incarnate and off he went to the cross. Muslims consider Jesus a prophet, not even the greatest one. So Jesus is a God, a liar and a Prophet in the 3 Arabhamic religions, clearly they do not all have the same God.

you can - it is quite apt... they're often keen to blindly believe 'alternative' narratives based on the flimsiest of 'evidence' simply because said narratives are 'alternative'

critical thinking tends to be severely lacking, 'truth seekers' or CT nutters generally are complete sheep

Yes they do have the same god. You're not providing evidence that they're not the same god, you're simply showing examples of where the belief systems differ.

There are different sects in Christianity and Islam that disagree on major points. Are you suggesting that they believe in different gods within the same religion because there are points of contention?

Someone who is literally a seeker of the truth isn't going to be a "CT nutter".

The problem is that if you question official stories you get lumped together with the nutjobs who claim there were no planes, the moon landings were DEFINITELY no real, the earth is flat or any of the other mental belief systems.

can you give me an example of an alternative narrative followed by one of your supposed 'truth seekers' that wouldn't be in CT nutter territory?

Well, you can't even say something like the whole 911 official story sounds like it's missing something, without people foaming at the mouth about CT nuts.

You MUST accept the official story in all instances, else be branded a nut job.
