I may have got someone the sack, now I feel bad

I ordered a Dell U2515H monitor which was scheduled for delivery yesterday. When I got home from work there was a hand written note on the door mat saying "parcel in garden".

The parcel was sat near the patio door, absolutely soaked. Luckily the monitor itself was ok.

This morning just by chance I checked on the parcelforce track and trace website. The information said delivered at 11:31 signed for by myself. The graphic showed my signature (badly) so looked like the delivery man had forged it.

It was VERY tempting to play the "there was no monitor in the garden when I got home" trick but my morals got the better of me.

I made a phone call anyway just to inform them that I was not happy at having my signature forged. The manager I spoke to wasn't happy in the slightest and I get the impression this isn't the first time he's done this.

Reading between the lines, I may have gotten him the sack.

Let's hope he doesn't pay me a visit

Kinda wish I'd just let it go now.

To be fair, he got himself the sack, by doing his job badly, and breaking several of the rules he signed up to when he took the job.

Maybe fair enough leaving a small, cheap parcel at a house... but a honking great Dell monitor out in the rain?

Herp derp to the max!

I suspect that many others have complained and if he can't be bothered to do a job properly then he knows what will happen. I wouldn't waste any more time thinking about it.

This.

Shoddy courier got himself fired for committing several sackable offences in a single delivery.

he is gonna know who dobbed him in, you are a dead man..... get a will sorted ASAP... at the very least (assuming you dont get murdered) be prepared for every package you ever expect to get delivery to either get lost/broken/crapped in

Did you book your delivery slot after work? If not then you have to have some sympathy for the driver. Muppets not being in when they know they have a delivery coming (not saying you are ..) is quite frustrating to deal with, and if they don't clear their load on Monday then it just means they have an extra 50% to deliver on Tuesday. The packages don't just disappear.

This! And you've probably saved his future customers from a lot of hassle.

You beastly man!

I'd have done the same if they forged my signature tbh, if he hadn't forged it then I would have been annoyed but the forgery puts it into another bracket of nobery.

No, it was an international delivery. I didn't know when to expect it.
Funny thing is, the depot is just round the corner from my house.
