Signs you're heading towards middle age...

Where do I start with middle age.

First the issues I've started to notice now

Waking up in the morning with joint pain for no discernible reason. All I did was sleep

Making noises when getting up or sitting down

Having to get up at 4am to finish the pee you thought you'd already finished

Having to ask the kids to turn our TV up so I can hear it

Having to ask the kids to turn their TV down because I can hear it.

Becoming less tolerant of moronic behaviour

Checking my pension, like all the time

Having to stop a karting session at Buckmore with my son because I was getting motion sickness.

These are just off the top of my head, I could go on and on :D

But in answer to the OP's question - bought a 60ft Scalextric track for myself, a few old rubbish consoles from my youth and am looking at sports cars. Oh the shame..

:D:( To that I'd add you become very aware of your mortality, whenever a famous person from youth passes away you think "who next? Is it me?"

You watch tv and have no idea who those so called celebrities are and all the ones you grew up are dying or are dead.
Eyesight failing so I now need glasses
Getting grey nasal hair :o
Need to pee more
Need less sleep

Just thinking about that, imagine immortality. Imagine it was possible and reaching a stage everyone you knew or they knew you is now dead.

Realising that even if I were single most of the women I'd find attractive wouldn't be interested in me.

I'll be 36 this year. My OH just turned 24. Think I'm doing something right. :D
I do look very young and I have no doubt that if I shaved my beard I'd get IDed when buying booze.

I think I became middle aged in my teens :D

always listened to radio 2 as radio 1 was just stroking idiots egos
stopped playing computer games, just doesn't interest me anymore
liking meat pie and crumble for afters
going for walks in the peak district
enjoy going to bed early
cognac over bottles of wdk or redbulls
mcdonalds disgusts me

yep, I'm turning into my dad

I'm 38 and starting to feel middle aged - although this thread has me really worried!!

I got id'd last year for booze though. :D The shop assistant took about 3 takes when seeing my id.

I'll be 37 in October.

I walk around the local cemetery just to see who I've technically outlived.

I used to love going out for an aimless drives, traffic light grand prix, loud subwoofer'd music. Now I think (whilst making a grimacing face) I'll just stay in.

I have got less tolerance towards most things.

I online shop to avoid working myself up by going to public places.

I put up less and less of a fight of when my wife chooses my daily clothes.

Grey scrotal hairs.

I don't think I've changed my car USB music stick for 20 years. All that stuff is great. Blur, Oasis, The Bluetones. Britpop rules!

I was more of a dance kid, but I 100% agree with you that 1994-6 was a great era for mainstream music. The top 40 nowadays is mainly occupied by Justin Beiber (like 5 entries of him!), One Direction occupying another 5 entries, and I've not heard of any of the other artists. Also, what is it with artist names missing out vowels e.g. WSTRN and Weeknd? Same with Flickr, Tumbr etc?

I'm 37 too btw :-)

Same here, particularly in my Corrado (90's car). It's 80's, 90's and pretty much nothing else. In the family car my kids insist on Captial or Kiss and most of it is rubbish.

I sound like my dad :(

Apart from this week's album chart which is flooded with Bowie :)
