R.I.P. Leslie Nielsen

Sad news and yes indeed a legend! RIP

I'm a big fan of Forbidden Planet and Airplane! (I insist people watch this when down) but it was also the endless enjoyment of Police Squad! and the Naked Gun movies during my childhood which provided the biggest laughs.

I have 'shirley' as my text message alert - which always gets laughs at work...

One funny gag that pops into my head is from Naked Gun 2 and half:

AFTER DREBIN CRASHES A TANK THROUGH THE CITY ZOO

Mayor: Do you realise that because of you this city is being overun by baboons?
Drebin: Is that the fault of the voters?
BOOM TSCH!
 
What a sad sad day. I loved the Naked Gun series and Airplane is one of my favourite films of all time. Such a hilarious actor, I really can't believe he's gone. :( R.I.P
 
Seen the Airplane movies and the Naked Gun ones but not Police Squad, better go and see it. Definitely great movies. Actually his acting was pretty good in Scary Movie 3 just a shame the movie itself was not that good.
