There is absolutely no reason at all to hide/supress discussion of the most important topic/crisis in Europe since the formation of the EU. You have to wonder whether you're getting to some hear home truths which you don't like and don't want us to hear.
Maybe you should do us all a favour by burying your head in the sand hoping it will all blow over when you surface again...
Truths may get revealed no matter what it is but nothing changes. People keep voting for the establishment that most keep moaning about for all the problems. Rinse and repeat.

There should be a strictly-moderated Speaker's Corner thread about this. Let people discuss, cite valid sources and offer their opinions without it degenerating into personal attacks or prejudiced/racist diatribe. The people who aren't capable of having a reasonable discussion will soon get weeded out, and everyone benefits as a result.

Time to open UK style FEMA camps. And don't let anyone out until the UK gov can confirm who\what they are. And where they're from.

If I was a person living in Syria and I wanted to escape because I feared for my life, I would travel to the nearest safe country.
The fact that these people are coming to the UK I think shows that when they arrive here, they are here for economic reasons.

Why border controls haven't been increased since this whole fiasco began is beyond me.
The fact a migrant can walk into the channel tunnel or board a ferry is an issue of national security above anything else. The area around the port of Calais should be a demilitarized zone, a no mans area and a single point of entry exit with substantial checking of vehicles.

as iv said in the other thread, its because the french gov want them out so if they should accidentally make it here what do they care.
That's exacerbating the problem though. If these migrants know there's a chance of getting to the UK it only encourages more to come.
There should be a near total lockdown, with anybody loitering around dispersed. The fact they've allowed a shanty town to exist resembling something from a third world country is a complete farce.
