Anyone whos used to recording software that comes with the AMD drivers? I can't figure out how to get it working, ive seen a few youtube guides and they all just state the obvious settings but when i do what they do and then enter a game i get no overlay and none of the keybinds do anything.

I've had the same problem. Can't get the FPS indicator to display, and like you said, keybinds appear to do nothing. With latest Crimson 16.1 package.
 
Game DVR won't record overlays of other games because how it hooks into games,is same has how msi afterburner etc do it.

For recording overlays you need something that doesn't hook into games but instead records what's on screen.

For me game DVR has always worked fine but I don't use it because of its limitations on resolution max 1080p.

Not used it with Crimson drivers.
 
It's not just recording the overlay - it's getting it to display at all on the screen. For me, it doesn't, no matter what.
 
Yup i get nothing at all, i tried using the recording options instant and manul and then checked the folder where its suppose to save them and theres nothing there either.
 
So I updated my drivers, tried a different game and its working fine now. Dirty rally was a no no apparently, that sucks considered its got AMD plastered everywhere in the game

Some games dont support the Overlay and are disabled by default check within the settings to see if the Overlay is enabled for that game.. You can force enable if its not switched on but games can crash otherwise.

Also having more than one Overlay like MSI AB can conflict with Raptr Overlay.

It was MGSV:TPP that I had no overlay with. I notice you've got that too. Can you get the overlay and FPS meter to display?

Also with TPP, "optimise" sets all settings to "very high", which is unplayable on my 280X. So the whole "optimise" feature is cack, imho. I have to dial everything back to the game's own "recommended" settings, which is just "high" for everything. Then I get playable frame rates.

By default for me MGSV Overlay is disabled so I force enabled it and its working fine here..

I only have GTA 5 and Just Cause 3 installed atm, ill have to download a few more through steam and see if it works for them. Although its only GTA i wanna use it on really.
 
Cheers, i just uninstalled the gaming evolved app and now my crossfire has stopped working lol. I guess i better reinstall it.
 
Same with GTA5 Overlay was disabled by default! So I forced enabled it, one thing I noticed right away is Raptr FPS counter in this game is completely wrong. My game is locked at 60fps but raptr shows 125fps lol Overlay was working though.
