How often do you go to the cinema?

Do you go to the cinema very often or do you wait for a film/blockbuster to be announced?
I used to use Orange Wednesdays but now like everything else :mad: it is more expensive.

We have a private cinema where I am, but it is like £9 or 2D or £12 I think for 3D for an adult! :eek: Which I think is way too high.

Do you think prices for going to the cinema are close to extortionate? That's without any drinks :p

Thoughts?
 
I never go to the cinema any more. Overpriced crappy experience. Much rather watch a film in the comfort of my own home. Nowadays you can get an acceptable cinema experience in your own home for not that much money.
 
For all the 'big ones' I go to the cinema (hobbit/LOTR and more recently star wars). Outside of that, I very rarely go to the cinema.

netflix and chill ;-)
 
Cinema is overpriced, but we go whenever we can arrange babysitting and that coincides with a movie we want to see, which is about once every 2-3 months.

Same, I only go to see the ones that benefits from the BIG screen and visuals.

I don't go to the cinema and watch a film by Woody Allen for example, I rather go see Fast and the Furious.
 
Since getting a projector i've slowed down a lot, i now only go for the biggest movies.

When you can use a projector to get a 120"+ display at 1080p, the cinema becomes a little redundant!
 
Quite often, however I usually take the kids so I end up watching dross like Charlie Brown or Rio 2. Though I do get 2 for 1 tickets with Times Online subscription so it softens the eye gouging prices a little.
 
I go very rarely. In the last 10 years, I've seen SPECTRE, Skyfall, Avatar, 21st Jump Street and a couple of the Harry Potter films. So that's about once every 2 years. Edit: have seen Into The Woods as well which was only 1 year ago.

Before 2006, even more rarely. I only recall seeing Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy... then a huge 10-year gap to Waterworld, Jurassic Park, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves then ofc the Disney repeats (Snow White / Bambi etc) during childhood.

3-4 times a year, but entirely depends on whats on, wont go unless theres something i really want to see.
Cinema only happens with my mates, but if cinema is happening so is a good meal and a few beers, so it only happens every so often, when they get a permission slip from their wives...

I'm happy to wait till it hits other media otherwise.
