oh I do like to be beside the seaside
Hi

I'm looking for something for my son's 21st, he's got everything like a watch, wallett etc, doesn't wear jewellery.

I was thinking of buying him an indoor skydiving experience (at AirKix in Basingstoke).

Has anyone done this, any good?

I've never done it but thanks for bringing it to my attention, this looks awesome and is considerably cheaper than what I would've thought.

Definitely going to have a go!

It's a good experience, but expensive for what it is. 3 minutes in the tube = £30 or something similar.

I've done it twice now (at Airkix MK) and it's great fun. I wouldn't pay the standard price but there always seems to be Wowchers or some such knocking around for it. It's fun, simple enough for fun and suitable for all ages. Be aware that there is a lot of up-selling involved (the DVDs etc are very expensive) but my wife and I and both kids (10 yo) loved it.
Oh yeah, and if you use the lockers (at MK, at least) they eat your money - which really annoyed my kids. :)

We did this recently, me, my wife, and 8 year old daughter. It was a fantastic experience and if they have time on the day they will offer additional flights for much less money so add-ons are possible.

We would consider doing it again if the right opportunity comes up.

It's good fun, but definitely find vouchers and don't expect it to last very long. I think with vouchers you tend to get 2x 2 minute sessions and they heavily push the big up and down jump.
