I'm finding sunny days can be a pain when working on my PC due to sun coming in through the windows and roof of my conservatory, making my monitors hard to see.

Any ideas on cheap ways to block out the bright sun. Even with my blinds down the light is unbareable when sunny.

Absolutely, turn off the PC and get one of these:

Seriously though, unless you want it semi-permanent (e.g. black out paint) you'd be looking at complicated blinds which will cost. Maybe just position a parasol over your pc?

Dave I'm with you.. lets go pub!

But for when I do need to work, I would like the sun to come through when the PC isn't in use. I don't want to move the PC from this room, this is my place I want it to stay.

How about a rolled canvas type blind that can fit into the holes on the brackets holding up the shelving and a loop on the shelving opposite that it can be hooked to when pulled open?

Hmmm not a bad idea. Thanks, will look into this :)

If you want cheap then cut a big cardboard box up so it covers your monitors and makes a sort of tunnel. The office down the corridor from me are designers and they have proper versions of these for their monitors as the strip lighting must affect the colour on the screens. If it works you could make a neater option and paint it black so it looks the part. This sort of thing could be make to fold up so it slides down the back of the desk when not in use.

It doesn't look like you'll use it as a sun room, so maybe better blinds on the windows and some dark tinting film on the roof panels would help?

My parents just had the roof of theirs tinted lightly which takes the glare off and is a bit more private.
