Hitman and AMD in DX12 partnership

What settings did you get a consistent 60 fps with?

I honestly couldn't tell you as the alpha build didn't allow for any settings to be changed. They were locked by default. Also to note that the alpha I played was not a DX12 alpha.

The game was fun, it looked great. I played the same content for two days straight. If you liked Hitman pre-Absolution then you'll like the new game. Play the beta and let me know what you think.

Hitman is such a dreadful and boring game that I really don't care. I also doubt dx12 will make much difference. I got the last one free from my other forum and have played it once. That was enough.

Well some people do the same with Gamesworks games, lots of weird people about.

I haven't seen anyone say that on this forum, of course, happy to see these posts if you got any links?

I am always hesitant to buying "gameworks" games though..... considering the history most of them have on release day.

I don't care who sponsors a game, if it looks like something I will enjoy, I get it and politics plays no part in any of my buying decisions at game and hardware level. Some here who will never buy Nvidia are saying the same as LambChop but doing it with Hardware instead of software.

Except, we have a choice for hardware stuff, don't want intel CPU's, there's AMD to choose..... don't want nvidia GPUs, there's AMD's GPU's to use instead.... and regardless of what you choose, either platform will get the same end result i.e. playing said games, which is the whole point as to why we buy these hardware components in the first place.

With games, you don't have that choice and there are little to no reasons to not buy said games (especially if you are a fan of the game and it has no issues) unlike with hardware components, the only reason to avoid them is down to pure hatred and fanboyism.

But I have seen people openly state that they wouldn't buy Nvidia and that is no different to what LambChop is saying and that is my point. I don't care what people choose to do with their own money but reading someone who won't buy a certain brand picking someone up for not buying a certain branded game is funny to me. Maybe I am easily pleased lol

He still has a choice as he can spend that time playing another game instead or doing something not gaming related.

I just find it rather silly when people get all ethical about hardware and software, if you look deep enough into the hardware and software all of us have used we've all supported something unethical at some point.

Totally Apple to oranges and a total strawman argument, owning a product from NV or AMD is nothing like buying a product that was sponsored by NV or AMD.

I wouldn't say totally different as in some way or other you're supporting their work aren't you, but yes buying a GPU is supporting them on a much bigger scale than buying a game they sponsor.

It's LambChop though, I do believe the majority of his posts are just done for a reaction. Buying nVidia titles that run like dog poo (some down to nVidia's wrongdoing themselves) and not buying AMD titles that run perfectly well makes you look like a bit of a plum.

+1

You guys are really arguing just because someone decided not to buy a game, good job this isn't the Heinz baked bean forum else there would be 1000 page thread every time someone passed up the 4pk on offer in Asda.

Regardless of what his choice is, it is his choice, get over it.
