As is the norm I went to buy my Sunday paper taking my cat with me as she loves a walk. I take a slightly longer way round to the newsagent which has less traffic so less bothersome to Millie the cat as although she does like to sniff the undersides of vehicles she is not keen on traffic. But I digress.
Just at the corner of the street where the newsagent is and bumped into a neighbour, whilst chatting a bunch of teens came down the road and given their dress I assume they had been at a party. Next minute all hell breaks loose and a rather nasty scrap develops with one guy hitting another's head with a bottle , which fortunately did not break, but still must have been sore. Suddenly a hot hatchback comes screaming down the road and deliberately try to run people over.
Now I assume the car driver was friends of one or the other side of the fighters yet did not seem to care who he ran over.
But it seems a soon as it started it was over. One group went across the bus stop the other group got in the car with bloodied nose for the most part from what I could see.
The whole thing scared the **** out of my cat who had taken to hiding under a hedge.
Should I have called the police? For a start neither of us had our phones and by the time the police had got around to responding, I suspect it would be Monday.
