Looking at the pictures, it looks pretty big! Hoping the casualty list is small, but given the amount of damage, I don't think it will be.

How much of that photo is resultant from the explosion and how much is down to the demolition, because hadn't the demolition work already started?

In which case if that is not all down to the explosion then it's poor show from the BBC making it look worse than it was. I've found them to be getting more sensationalist than the likes of the tabloid papers over the last few years.

Anyone know how advanced the work already was?

Apparently they were "pre-weakening" it prior to demolition.
