So much is in play right now, will be a fascinating 2016, if those two scenario's played out with Putin warmongering on the side we could be in one of the most significant periods of history in the modern age

Why do you think Putin is warmongering? The legitimate Syrian government asked Russia for military help to fight the terrorist groups that are slowly but surely ripping the country apart, and he obliged. How is that warmongering?

The invasion and annexation of part of the Ukraine?

It would liven up those political summits for sure....

A small part of me is coming around to wanting this to happen, but that's just the part that wants to see the world burn :p

That desire for WWW III and the zombie apocalypse that will follow it is great amongst the forum community. :p

Trump is like the right wing version of Corbyn, a rebal without a clue. Neither of them will ever get to run a major western power.

I am interested to see the tv debates in the in/out referendum and if we will see Dave and Boris go at it live, now that would be something.

highly unlikely trump will win, but for the sake of the thread, what would be the consequence

It wasn't so long ago that people were saying he was highly unlikely to win a single GOP caucus or primary - now he's won three out of four! People are angry - they've had enough of the established elite telling them that globalisation is good for them when all they see is their jobs being exported and barbarity being imported.

I don't think Britain will win the referendum though - the British civil service has been around in one form or another for almost 900 years and knows a thing or two about how to keep control of the population. Since only the campaign to stay in the EU are allowed to use them victory for the EU is almost guaranteed, with George Osborne likely to be the new PM shortly afterwards.

with Putin warmongering on the side

Putin warmongering? Really... Nice to know the BBC can still effectively brainwash the masses.

Putin was invited/requested to assist in fighting ISIS... The entire Western ally base is and has been operating there without these things...

Lets not forget who has been really warmongering these last 10 years.. Its certainly not Putin

as mentioned, lets keep it on track to the West please

For my part I like the sound of bad hair cuts coming bad in fashion, time i was fashionable again

I'm really torn about leaving the EU or not. I won't be voting until I properly understand what the implications are.

Won't matter if we leave we will still have to comply with EU regulations and laws. What will matter is we will no longer have a say in the creation or changing of regulations and laws.

At current we have freedom to travel, live and work across Europe but that will be harder if we leave the EU

We in the UK should reflect on whether our net contribution of £7bn out of total government expenditure of £695bn is good value;

57% of our trade comes from the EU
Cheaper air travel, Mobile phone charges
funded opportunities for young people to undertake study or work placements abroad; access to European health services
holiday entitlement
equal pay legislation
the right not to work more than a 48-hour week without overtime
strongest wildlife protection in the world
EU-funded research and industrial collaboration
EU representation in international forums
cross border policing to combat human trafficking, arms and drug smuggling; counter terrorism intelligence
European arrest warrant
investment across Europe contributing to better living standards and educational, social and cultural capital

the list goes on but those are some of the things we wouldn't have, without the EU.

So tell me again why people want to leave it :confused:
