North Wales Police deliberately mow down dog

Off a cliff? No way you could roll a car at that speed, unless it went up a ramp incorrectly.

Dry warm day. Going round a roundabout, swerved sharply to miss a pothole. Ended up sideways, hit the central reservation next to me. Ended up on its roof. I pulled the girl out.

I don't think you realise how slow 10MPH is... I don't think that would have happened at anything below 25MPH? In fact even at that speed I'm struggling to believe it, especially as it was a dry and warm day...

You don't "end up sideways" on a dry road at 10MPH.

Just to add, ive seen a car rolled at about 10mph. Audi a3.

In rather exceptional circumstances I'm sure.

Going at 10mph though... which is pretty slow. Swerving sharply? Is that even possible? Then to get the car sideways? Then if it was sideways and hit a central reservation wouldn't it be hitting the barrier front or back on? Then how on earth would it end up on its roof? Roundabout? Aliens? 10mph round a roundabout? On a A/M Road? (central reservations).

Nah.

You can be as aggressive as you like with the steering wheel at 10mph. Hardly anything would happen.

Prove it then. I'm telling you what I've seen. I was there. I pulled the girl from her car covered in her own ****.

All dogs off leads should be run down.
By that same logic, every cat should be permanently on-lead too, surely? :p

A driver stopped on the unlit portions of the a55 is very likley to end in a major accident.
You think a driver should be able to safely stop from 70mph in the time it takes to see a dog that has run in front of a car?
No, I was referring to this part:
"Cops have these hazard lights and FLIPPIN' BRIGHT flashy blue lights and road cones and warning triangles and a FLIPPIN' MASSIVE great car, with which to close the road and warn people.
As mentioned, there are plenty of matrix signs along this stretch, too. "
So lit/unlit shouldn't matter - If they can't stop with all ^that warning going on, there's a problem with their driving.

Your friend hit a badger and it rolled her car? I struggle to believe this. However, if true, it is probably more of a complete freak accident than the norm...or something else played a part in the car rolling?
Heck yeah - Badgers are flippin' huge solid things.
I believe it was the badger hitting the bodywork and frame that went in and fouled the wheel or something, which then sent the car careening off, rolling over the opposite kerb and off the road. There wasn't so much left of the car to easily figure out what happened. It was seriously trashed, the front corner was shattered (all plastic on the Clio, apparently) and the wheel was far away from the rest of the car.
She says she didn't have time to react at all and the airbag hit her in the face thereafter, so whatever caused it was from the badger onwards.

Bike is a completely different story.
I've not actually hit anything on the bike yet (you and your *** of a cat are welcome, Mrs. Marlowe at Number 17...), but we do get a lot of rabbits out our way and have hit a few in the car - If you squish one directly under a wheel, even in our big-ass tank of an old Merc the car can go quite slippery on the road. Get that on one of the narrower bends and that slip would be enough to put your wheel into the 2' deep side ditch. I'm sure you can imagine the rest.

We do tend to have more than the national average here in north eales.
That's in celebration of Richard Bumstorm very kindly sodding off!! :D

You prove it. What you're saying is far less likely. :p

25MPH on a diesel spill and this might happen. 10MPH on a dry road? lol.

I'm not the one disputing it. If people doubt it's possible come up with some evidence to show it isn't.

Typically in discussions such as these, if you make an assertion then it is for you to back it up with evidence when challenged, not for others to disprove it.

o.O

4x4 going 15mph in a straight line albeit up a slight gradient rolls?

Surely if anyones take these things off the road we would be hearing about accidents left right and centre? :p

Going at 15mph wouldn't generate enough momentum to get it onto it's roof?

Think I'm underestimating the speed a bit - even driving through there normally was easily hitting >20MPH and he was revving it a bit - not even close to rolling over though (unsurprisingly as people do it every day without incident) so no idea how he managed it.

How 'bout y'all give your cars to me and I'll see how fast I have to go to roll 'em?
That way, I'd be totally independent and unbiassed, you'd all get your answers.... :D

Y'all can bring yer families to come watch, but dogs must be kept on-lead at all times!!

Do you ask witnesses to do that in court?

No. The defence would cross examine and present evidence to try and disprove the witness.
