The fact that their statement contradicts an eyewitness who was there is a good start.

Your posts haven't said that you don't always wear a green pixie suit, paint your face purple and sing "O Fortuna" while skipping all the time. Does that mean that you do those things?

You asked for a source. I gave you a source. It doesn't match what you've decided is true, so you dismiss it.

So I'll approach it from the other side. Is there anything you would accept as evidence that (like all the other claims) the one about the tennis isn't true?

Nah in all seriousness though, the one thing that astounds me is how they got away with neglect.

Personally I believe they 'did it' from what I've read but when I get time I'll go through this thread as best as possible and see what the 'debunkers' have linked. I'm not making this comment to start an argument with anyone so please don't be a douchebag about what I've said.

A (kind of?) comparison from the other end of the spectrum - has anybody seen Making a Murderer? Great series on Netflix about one very unfortunate guy and one also very unfortunate kid. I find it almost undeniable that they've been framed here. Again, from all I know I believe they shouldn't be in jail.

Hopefully the full truth will come out for both cases sooner rather than later, considering it's still causing (seemingly) aggravating debate so many years on!

Yes, a source with a statement that they didn't play tennis afterwards which is the allegation. You've failed to provide that.
All you've done is provide a source saying he played tennis beforehand.

As I said, you can play tennis beforehand. You can then go on to play it afterwards too. Basically your source shows nothing. It answers no questions. It's pointless.

Abandoning your child is automatic evidence of being Irresponsible and Thoughtless. The actual train of thought leading to the abandonment of children to go partying is by it's very nature irresponsible and thoughtless. So you can tick those off.

Guilty and Manipulative? Certainly yes. If a woman I happen to call my mother took me on holiday so she could abandon me in a hotel room and go party her ***s off till the sun came up, I'd say she's guilty as sin, I'd say that even if I didn't get abducted as a result, but that's a whole different issue. Imagine what's going on in poor maddies head right now watching her irresponsible mother raking in the cash because all it took for her to lose her sanity and give up her inherent responsibility to her children was the allure of some cheap holiday tapas and alcohol.

If my mother relinquished her parental responsibility and locked me in a hotel room at the sight of some tacky party food I'd be looking to jump out of the window as a means of escape.

This has been answered 1000 times, it wasn't 'Neglect'.
Neglect is a case I've been working on today which would make you sick.

Also this happened in Portugal so even if they were guilty of neglect in this country (which they weren't), it doesn't mean they would be guilty in Portugal.

I've given a woman on Facebook this evening a link to the myth busting site because of all the crap she was coming out with.
All I keep getting is 'but how do you know that is correct?'.

Read the link I posted days ago. I never stated they played the next day. Just soon after she disappeared. Also stated it was only Gerry

No it hasn't.

Ang posted a link with someone saying they played tennis before. They can still play tennis after too. They're not mutually exclusive actions.

Nobody has provided any evidence to say that they didn't play after which was the allegation put against them by one of the report staff.
 
So have the McCanns ever given a recollection of any conversation and their thought process leading up to the point at which they both agreed upon abandonment? Or how they came about the plan to go abandon them multiple times to make it obvious?


The astonishing thing is not only did they abandon her once but several times during the evening. This astonishing act simply gave any potential abductor who had been preying on an opportunity the perfect heads up he needed.

Also the act of "checking on something", multiple times, confirms that the persons doing the checking are aware of some sort of imminent danger otherwise they wouldn't keep checking.

I find the charade of "checking on her" absolutely outrageous. It is completely irrelevant because the frequency of "checking" has absolutely no neutralising effect on the actual causal factors involved in the triggering of the perceived imminent danger.

Your source is the Daily Mail. Which is evidence, yes, but evidence that it's false.

I could provide better evidence that she was kidnapped by aliens.
 
Surely they've done enough things that are indisputable in the full glare of the public eye to fuel enough hate for the next thousand years. What's the point of picking on things they might have done which we'll never be able to verify?

Lol. Ok. I see the level of logic you're employing here. I agree the daily mail is generally crap but I've not seen anything anywhere to formally dispute what was asserted.
