The Division. Are we interested?

Must admit the stats side of things is confusing me somewhat. I'm lvl 13 with 4K dps,8k health and 3k skill I have no idea if that's good or bad lol.

I quite like it but much prefer the pvp side of not knowing if they're about to shoot me or not :D.

Rare weapons require the pistol stat and the tech stat to unleash their special ability. So it's a juggling act... if you want the ability you'll need to get the required stats from armour you wear. High is good, but you will have to safrifice health to unlock some cool weapon perks.

This game is SO good. Didn't expect it to be that good tbh. Only played 8 hours so far, can't wait for the weekend.

I'm glad I soloed basically to level 8 to get to grips with how the game works and to check out the areas in a relaxing fashion. Power levelling is best done in groups with players with a higher level to you.

Personally, once my mate gets it I'll just co-op with him, help him out as he has less game time then me, it'll still be awesome.

When he reaches 10 then we'll group with 2 others for the dark zone, I don't want to power level I just really want a chilled out run around finding phones, optimizing gear, so much to do besides power levelling.

People who have capped must not of experienced the story properly, it would be impossible.

My tips for newbies :)

When I started today I did some missions as I was told to. I'm sure the third said reward a shotgun. Never got it. Do rewards go auto in ur inventory or did I miss a box to open to get it or do u have to go somewhere to turn them in for the rewards as I wasn't told anything in the game.

I think you need to pick them up at the end, will be a green/blue vertical light shining from the ground.

I haven't really paid attention as I pick everything up at the end anyway and haven't missed any rewards.

Look for the glowing vertical bars, they will tell you if there is anything useful around, I don't recall looking too hard for the shotgun.

Cheers,

Edit: Shotgun should appear automatically when the mission is completed, no need to look for it. Check your inventory.

That's the way I've approached it, just take it slow, explore everywhere and enjoy the experience. I only get 2-3 hours a day to play so I intend on dragging this out as long as possible. I'm still completing the first missions from Hudson Camp and cleared the police station in Brooklyn twice (once on Normal and once on Hard).

I find KB and mouse easier than a controller, more precise - although I have remapped most of the keys. First time I've used a KB and mouse for a shooter since STALKER.

Picked up a trendy beanie and a tri-climate jacket from helping civilians in need.

Cheers,

Awesome thanks.

I need the health as I die too much :D.

I have two questions, when watching videos I've seen the character rolling but I can't figure out how to do it.
Also how do you change ammo types, I know to pick grenade type its hold down the g key.

Hold v. However I find it frustrating as you use your mouse to pick from the menu but it's hard to do.

As the others above have said, its double tap your cover key to roll, & hold whichever key you have set for your med packs, just in case you have rebound the keys.

Picked up the Gold edition tonight, download quite fast. Graphics look good, just played the first mission and two side ones, which is a shame as I've got work in a few hours.

Not impressed with the gun action, I hit a few enemies in the head and they were still running around.

Well suprise suprise the game isnt about realism, if npcs were one tap to the head it would be easy as hell and be pointless playing

A word of advice to everyone here, play it all as coop, crank it to hard and give each member of your team a role, eg Marksman ,LMG. It proves a bit challenging and is a lot more enjoyable than soloing

I'm running two characters 1 for solo play and 1 I'm levelling up with the guys at work.

Solo play is obscenely easy and oh my days is hard hard. :D

Got to Manhattan and the first group of rioters I ran into awarded me a Blue M416.

Very nice of them.

Need to grind it out tonight, only rank 5. More than happy with the looks and side missions, think I will enjoy this.

We do this anyway. My mate wanted a sniper and I picked up an M60 and we cover each other. No need to give "roles" out.... thats how teamplay usually works :p

What level do you have to be to venture into the Dark Zone? I don't have any friends so am on my lonesome in the game so far (friends and family all console gamers who must love 30fps). Is it even worth trying the Dark Zone? I am only level 6.

DZ gives way better loot,if you like unpredictability and MP - you will like DZ,but i suggest to play with somebody, you will get more chances of staying alive
