AMD Capsaicin live stream

Tempted to wait out for Vega which seems to be early 2017 looking at the roadmap. That Navi though looks interesting...

Well not really 2017 if it is drawn like this on purpose, more like end of 2016

I was expecting to see Polaris at this event, which seemed to be heavily implied by AMD.

Instead we got told we could buy 2 Fury X's for the price of 3. They have that the wrong way around.

Still, serves me right for not just taking everything AMD say with a pinch of salt.

Would people stop trying to interpret these graphs? They used wide blocks for a reason, to make it intentionally vague and give themselves a broad window. It even says subject to change on the graph. There will be a delay most likely too.

This isn't the Da Vinci code.

With AMD previously showing Polaris to the press and matching it against a 950, it would have been silly to expect the big chips early. NVidia will be the same but I do expect a decent performance from the smaller chips and cheaper for both.

Emm,so you missed the Polaris 10 demo running Hitman??

VR this, VR that pffffffffffft. Does anyone actually care for VR around here? just curious.

Personally I couldn't give two ***** about it, however I'm more interested in proper multi GPU scaling and big power hungry cards.

highly doubt you'll see HBM2 before march 2017*

*as usual the above is my own opinion and not official but going off recent trends in launches. No one ever sticks to the road map.

Polaris looks like it's shaping up to be the small/mid range cards with great power efficiency. Vega looks like its going to be the high end stuff where power efficiency isn't as great as they are using the extra power for the horsepower. Judging from the road map we will see high end next year in 2017. Mid/end of this year is when we will see the full range of polaris
