also doom is fine on nvidia i know i played it.fps is capped never moved from 60 fps.the real funny thing is the 970 gtx is the recommended card LOL

except the 390X doesnt beat an overclocked to 1.38GHZ 980TI if you look at pcgameshardware.de review.

And the majority of AMD games are fair on all GPU's compared to the majority of Nvidia sponsored games. IF you compare where GPU's come out in the lineup in AMD games compared to the GPU's theoretical performance then they tend to fall in line how they should.

If the game is using async compute does that mean the game isn't running under OpenGL/Valkan like previous ID games? It will be a shame if they don't because ID was onenof the last famous developers who championed the open standard API.

Async Compute is part of low level API just like mantle supported it Vulkan will also support it, Async complete isn't exclusive to DirectX12.

I hope the campaign is as good as Doom 3, with the PDF audio and video logs. Really helped build the story and the voice acting was great. I want to jump out of my skin as I'm playing it, just like i did with Doom 3.

During installation I always switch all those sliders off for all the "we want us to send your data" settings.

Then once I'm up and running I just disable anything intrusive through PowerShell.

Know what you mean - its like I'm not in control of my own OS any more - my main systems will likely be remaining on 7 for a very long time at this rate.

What are you being forced to do?
What is it you think Microsoft owe you?

by narrowing down your choices to the point that you would have no choice left but to go to their next OS, if thats not forcing, i dont know what it.
they owe me my money i spent on my OS, they owe me the promise that the OS is supposed to take full advantage of my hardware, not to have features available on my hardware for years not being able to take advantage of, then when it's possible they shift it to be exclusively on their new OS, and DENY it for windows 7
and ofc all of this will start again, in few months if they consider win10 migration has succeeded, they will stop on purpose any evolution, and start shifting things to their new OS whatever they may call it, some might say thats business, but it's really not, they dont have to deny stuff for current OS just to sell the next OS, thats a conscient choice they make, when it's possible to have it on both, just because they have no respect for you as a user, they know you will bend over and take, they make sure you have no other choice.
