Daily Star - Easter Eggs are banned

A friend replied to someone I don't know on there, so got it on my feed :(

Here, enjoy it

Pretty much as you expect on FB.

Yeah that's the one doing its rounds. She's wrote it as if the Muslims have sat down and said 'as I dont follow Christianity, lets write to cadbury and nestle and persuade them to remove Easter from all their packaging'

Cant stand religion but I really do hate the British press more.... They stir up so much crap

I've never heard one politically left person say anything like that so I dont know where it comes from.

A few years ago, I think it was Birmingham, decided they would put all the festivals together that happened in December and call it Winterval which was actually a good idea. Some media got hold of it and tried to say the Christian Christmas was being renamed so not to offend Muslims. The Muslims I know go along with Christmas and don't give a stuff anyway because Jesus is also their Prophet.

Daily Star and the morons who 'read' it.

Well to be fair they're not really 'Easter' eggs anymore, I first saw some just after Christmas last year so you could say 'Easter Egg's' have been replaced with 'Just After Christmas Eggs'

Another non-story reported as an important one.
Seems that the media are constantly pushing irrelevant nonsense in the hope fools and idiots jump on the hype train of unimportant stories.

Take the Easter/Religious aspect away and just rename them something neutral and peaceful like Love Eggs ?

Wait, i didn't think that through properly.........................

Considering that Easter eggs are a symbol of fertility, anything sexual is more appropriate for them than anything religious.

Christians probably have more basis for being offended by Easter eggs than followers of other religions - pagan symbols stuck into a Christian ritual! They're sexual symbols too! Rabbits are even worse!

Of course, hardly anyone cares and this story is just more clickbait fiction.

The majority of planet are simply products to be advertised to, ignore it and hope that the ever approaching singularity deletes them from life.

Lets not dance around the fact here: The vast majority of Facebook users are gullible morons too concerned with their online presence to actually take a step back and form an opinion of their own.
