I got a problem, last night the game was fine, then windows decided to restart my pc for an update. Today I get this red shadow in the Division, restarting the game or restarting the pc does nothing.

For those of you hoarding green and blue Division Tech in hopes of being able to craft them up to gold, @Hamishbode confirmed in a podcast that that will never happen.

With the above and their pathetic approach to cheaters, are they wanting to kill this game...

I have already lost interest in trying to farm gold division tech. now and therefore not bothering with any of the blueprints requiring gold division tech and no doubt many others have or will come to the same conclusion. Who on earth at massive thought it would be fun to run around for hours trying to find boxes that hadn't been opened yet and if you're lucky get 1 gold division tech, rinse and repeat.

Most of the afternoon, evening and night spent yesterday using a fast route for division tech and I got a whopping 7 gold division tech.

Here's hoping that they might look into upping the respawn for the boxes and more chance of gold tech. being dropped but I won't hold my breath.

EDIT:

Just reading, apparently with incursions there will be a weekly lockout....

Did the virologist mission on Hard last night... On my own. Haven't felt so tasked in a game before lol. Was with it.

I seriously don't get people's annoyance with the gold high end division tech.

As soon as the incursions drop, all your gear is no longer going to be top drawer and you'll be craving the set gear from the incursion drops.

Gear Sets
Gear set equipment can be found by completing the most challenging activities in Manhattan.
Collecting and wearing gear sets grant powerful stat bonuses and talents.
Gear sets of varying gear scores can be found for many playstyles. Find the set that best suits yours.
“Tactician's Authority” – enhances electronics and support capabilities
“Striker's Battlegear” – provide bonuses for assault capabilities
“Sentry's Call” – enhances marksman capabilities
“Path of the Nomad” – provides bonuses for lone wanderers

And yes just like most MMOs you'll only be able to run it once per week to earn the drops. Standard MMO / RPG practice to stop you from maxing out too early and losing interest.

Are you at the stage of getting all the best level 31 high end gear yet? If not, get there then come back and tell me that you have no issues with it :p

Yes, our gear will be obsolete with new DLC but that still doesn't change the fact that myself and many other players want the "current" best gear for now... With that view point, you might as well say wait until June/summer for the 3rd/4th DLC as that gear is going to be even better.

To craft anything from the DZ church, it uses 3 division tech. so depending on how much you have, you will only be able to craft a couple of things and pray that you get a good roll on your first go. This is why so many people run with the vector, it is easier to get a better roll than a mp5/AUG roll from the DZ as you don't have to worry about division tech.

I agree with Fr0dders on this one. I really don't see peoples issues with div tech. The point of these "style" games is to grind for stuff if you can't do that then don't play the game. Not like it's hard to get div tech i literally just spent the last hour in there and got 9 rares. Im only level 26 in the DZ but i bet that before im 50 i will have more than enough div tech to craft more than enough of the level 50 gear.

This ;) :D

I haven't seen anyone, apart from maybe 1 or 2 guys at the "end game" disagree that the way of getting gold division tech. is broken.

You run around for hours in the hope that a box hasn't been opened or is about to respawn (2 hour timer iirc) and that when you open it, you aren't greeted with green/blues like 90% of the time.

PS. I will join your server instance and get to all the division tech boxes first, it's ok though, you can come back in 2 hours and re-open them unless someone else has beat you to it then you will have to wait another 2 hours :p

You haven't got any yellow fabrics, tools etc.? If not, at least you can craft the blue into yellow.

Why will it be obsolete? What can do extra with this gear?

Honestly i don't understand this at all it really genuinely isn't hard to get div tech i have 44 of them and literally don't spend any time in the DZ Are you sure you are doing a "full run" My friends who are 50+ in the DZ are all fully geared in surplus of div tech and have only spent about 150 hours on the game. That really is no time at all.

EDIT : I also don't think ive ever opened up two boxes consecutively and not got a single yellow so not sure about this 90% either.

Looking for people to group in dz with, am aiming for dz level 50+, currently at level 43, I'm not a pk'er though. uplay nick = shephga1 , will be back online in a couple of hours.

Yup. I've got all level 31s apart from 1 maybe 2 pieces, those are level 30 high end drops from challenge mode.

What is the obsession with getting perfect rolls though ? You are literally going to spend hundreds of hours getting perfect rolls on all your armor pieces, only to get rid of them once the gear sets start dropping from the incursions.

Can you do challenge mode at the minute with ease ? then that's all you need. There's no need to get a perfect setup on your month 1 gear that you're about to get rid of in a few weeks.

Won't last long if you try and get perfect rolls. People running out of high end tech are crafting 5, 6 or more of the same item trying to get perfect rolls. Do that for 2 different armor peices and and thats 36 div tech gone.

well now you've found one. Its done deliberately to gate your progression and slow you down. The same as having a weekly lockout on loot from the incursion. It's to keep you playing and artificially slow you down and keep you coming back and interested in playing and buying the DLC. Standard for games in this genre.

I've got to the point now where my character is almost perfect. I've got enough gear to solo hard missions with so much ease its boring and enough that i can carry lower geared players in challenge mode. If you can do that, why do you NEED better gear ? Don't fall into the trap of grinding endlessly for slightly better gear if you don't want to. There's no actual need to do it. Stop doing it if you're not enjoying it.

Good lord, just did todays challenging mission with 3 randomers. I was there with the worst gear and was carrying everyone. 45 minutes I'll never get back :(
