Funny, the salad method. It is what people who compete in eating competitions do; load on salad and lettuce. It allows them to really stuff themselves and gets them use to huge quantities. Difference is, those guys do it and only eat large amounts of other stuff when competing, the average person would just increase the quantity of food they intake on their standard diet.
Take your time eating and pause during the meal. I found this method great for reducing the amount i ate and helping me feel full for much longer.
I use to love the feeling of eating till i was really full but now because i got use to eating till satisfied with the above method, i now find being full uncomfortable and generally do not crave snacks when i am not actually hungry.
