It reads: "They're coming… and when they arrive they'll take the FAT ones first!". It then has "save yourself!" with an arrow pointing to the gym's website.

One passer-by said the poster was "ridiculous" and he would "rip it down" because "being a big lad myself, it upsets you".

Many other people said it was "in poor taste" and "offensive".

Natalie Harvey, founder of the charity, said the poster has caused her concerns because it would "aid bullying".

Yet more people getting offended that being fat isn't admired and welcomed in our society. As I've become a grumpy old man I just can't believe how our society has turned out. I'm not saying that being picked on due to size is right. It certainly isn't. But most fat people (men and women) are larger by choice. It's their choice not to do something about it. Yes I appreciate there are a small number of people with medical issues. But as demonstrated by some ver y motivated peopl eon this very forum, if you want to lose weigh it just takes will power and a lifestyle change.

You know what, I'm a fat *******. I have pretty thick skin to this stuff so maybe somebodies seeing something here I'm not. But honestly I can think of a load of ways you could do a gym ad that's actually offensive.

That is not in the least, it's not upsetting, it's not offensive, about the only thing I can against is it's not funny either.

Haha wtf? So some fat guy is upset that he's a fatty? How about he stops eating then lmao. :D

That's like me saying I'm upset that I have less than 8% body fat and then continuing to exercise.

Yeah, they are really forcing the humour. Fit4Less probably got the Ad4Less to manage their 'clever' campaign, or just did it themselves after a blue sky meeting, thinking they were the bees knees.

I was so shocked how I came across this. http://www.bigdudeclothing.co.uk/8xl-clothing

8XL O_O Never knew skin can stretch that far.

I'm a fatty, the advert doesn't bother me in the slightest, I even found the billboard quite amusing.

Fit4Less. Cheap and tacky. One in my area is attracting the local council estate and gypsy caravan parks. They have moved in to what used to be a small Asda in between a local council gym and a DW. They are not professional in the slightest; wandering around shopping centers on Valentines handing out roses to increase membership?

If a fat person says the ad is offensive, then it's offensive. It's not the decision of some judgemental roid rage protein guzzler whether it's offensive or not.

It wouldn't be acceptable to punch someone in the face and then tell them it didn't hurt, would it?

I'm sure you've just added yourself and OcUK to a watch list with that :D.

How do you know I'm not the man watching the list, casting my net wide? ;):o

If enough people complain, it will be investigated and dealt with in accordance with the advertising codes. Some ads are just ill thought out and silly, though.
