My understanding is that PVP has a flat percentage nerf before armour etc is applied as well. I've heard 60% but honestly, who knows. 65% is the cap for armour reduction, but other skills/talents/effects get applied after that - so can obviously surpass a 65% damage reduction.

Cant say for pvp but the guide I read stated that armour was for bullet damage only (i.e. shotgunners) other resistances are for grenades/skills shock/disorient/bleed/burn etc.

Got my armour capped at 4.7k (65%) tonight with a couple of decent crafts, will have to run some RC tomorrow to see what difference it makes.

Slowly starting to increase the electronics stat but got a good way to go before I unlock the weapon perks:

Have to say Gamble your health is pretty low there. I'd be sacrificing 10-20k DPS for the same in health. Means I rarely get one shotted now unless it's by a Shotgun Rusher.

Not had much yellow gear really tonight other than an ACR-E which was pants so got broken down and a gun mod which is now slotted. Not entirely sure where I can go from here because everything I'm picking up is either significantly worse than what I have or lowers my DPS by 10k and only puts my Stamina/Electronics up by 1-2k.

Here is the video, posting the full url never works on this site for some reason, only the last few numbers/letters work such as posting this from the youtube url in the youtube quotes 5q36b-jLick

I certainly won the lottery then, got my perfect gold vector with all three talents I wanted :D

Something needs to be done though about the talents, let the game randomly pick them, and if your not happy pay pheonix credits to be able to change all three talents each to the ones you want. But this should only be allowed to be done once.

Something expensive like 100 phoenix credits per talent.

I had a look at the spreadsheet, there are at least 2 talents I believe he has missed so the pool of talents is 20, not 18. Keeping all of the other variables the same, that works out at 7.24 years to get the marksman rifle you want (6 hours per day every day doing nothing but looking for div tech and crafting).

Cheers,

well I played for 3 hours last night and went from 16 to 20! didn't get chance to play Friday night

I need a new sniper rifle!, does anyone know where I can get one? as the current one I have is level 9 still but its doing me ok. As I mainly use it one more my level would make life a lot easier.

Does anyone have a strange issue where the game loads, can hear sound etc but the screen is just black and have to keep restarting the game?

The best sniper rifle under level 20 that I have found is located toward the start of the Police Academy mission.

After you exit the elevator on the first floor, clear out the bad guys and the game will tell you to head around to the right. Rather than follow the room around to the right, turn left and vault over a counter. There will be a closed door leading off this room and inside the room is a chest. I found a SOCOM M1A in there that does 2k more damage than my level 15 Classic M1. If you have done the mission and didn't get the rifle it is worth going back for (I assume it is still there if you don't pick it up first time.)

What you find in these chests is random, I have been playing with 4 characters and have found a different item each time.

Will give it a shot later on and see if I can roll some of my gear towards stamina as I have a few pieces I haven't done anything with yet but by default they are already towards firearms. Or even just mod them towards it more so but will see what options I get for rolling them.

It isn't too bad as the armour is quite high (4096 I think)

Been playing this a lot the past few days.

LVL 24 at the moment, any tips on what to buy or build while levelling up or does it not matter one jot?

Also how is end game and what does it consist of?

Then we went chasing another rogue group of 4, 3 of them we killed so easily, but the 4th guy was 100% cheating. We were all chasing him unloading so many clips into him, but he just kept on topping up his health every 10 seconds or so every time it went really low.

That guy may not be using a hack, he could just be exploiting the mask trick which means you don't need to use a health unless 3-4 people are shooting you dead on while you stand still.

Finally got my character to level 30 over the weekend. Really enjoying this game, something about grinding for gear in the DZ and the PVP element that has me hooked. It has taken some time getting there mind, level 28 DZ now also!!

To be clear, I've only been closing threads dedicated to naming/shaming people, which is not allowed per our forum rules.
I see no reason to close a thread discussion anti-cheat measures in general, as long as it doesn't devolve in naming/shaming or flaming.

I agree with most of the sentiment here that we need better anti-cheat, and so does the team. Efforts are being made.

Well, hopefully they will do something about it..

Have you ever played with Nexus? Is that the same one he uses where he has the rehabalitation talent on his mask? He blinds himself with a flashbang then he's constantly topping up health. Mind you, it goes up very slow, like 2% or something, but is always charging constantly topping up. This guy wasn't, he was getting blasted by most of us, his health was clearly depleting all the way to the bottom but at the same point each time it was topping back up to 100% in a split second. It wasn't increasing slowly like Nexus's glitch, it was topping up quickly in one burst. You can't use first aid packs that quickly due to recharge, and also there's no way you can keep using a first aid talent every 5-10 seconds over the course of like a 3 minute fight.

I agree'd I went below 70k and get pwn3d by every-one and everything, can't see what difference armour makes if anything though...

When you get to 65% damage mitigation it makes a big difference in pvp. It's worth getting some items that roll +armour as their major attribute solely for pvp.

The mask talent makes you regen 2% health per second, that means in 10 seconds you'd only regenerate 20% of your hp, I'm not sure where people get this idea that it makes you that hard to kill?
