Wasn't he a music producer for some HUGE artists?

He was in to his drugs apparently so wouldn't surprise me if this is a crack / heroin combo OD. Died in the Four Seasons hotel in London's Canary wharf.

Reference to celebrity big brother earlier this year - which David Gest was in. Angie Bowie was in the house also and had been told that David Bowie had died and if I remember rightly, said to someone else "David's dead". They assumed she meant David Gest and confusion/anger/overractions ensued.
