Radiohead LP9

It seems the long wait for LP9 may be coming to an end. People have been receiving Burn The Witch post cards this weekend.

AND (duh duh dahhhh) the official Radiohead website is doing an odd fade-out thing at the moment. http://www.radiohead.com/ is something really HAPPENING!!!!? :o

I'm a huge fan, and the wait has been insane... but there might just be light at the end of the tunnel. However, this being Radiohead I'm not counting my chickens.

Edit:::: the site has gone, it just a white blank

Getting tickets for their roundhouse gigs was stupidly impossible :(

So obviously I got some :D

They must really hate their fans though - why not do a few intimate shows then a few bigger ones...

Congrats for getting tickets... gold dust for sure. Surely they'll do some more dates here?

So how long will it be before the site changes... is the album coming today, or just an announcement?... maybe a single/video.

Gosh this is exciting.

I'm really sick of this ********. I don't like how much TY has so much of a hold over me, the punishment he dishes out to fans is horrendous.

Can't wait though...

I'm so glad that Jonny has finally been unleashed - I saw him on tour with the LCO and it was one of the most unique musical experiences I've ever had, and you definitely hear the menace from his There Will Be Blood stuff in this track.

I got a Damon Albarn vibe

I like it. I hope there's actually an album coming soon!

Absolutely... I've just dl'ed the WAV and it a great sounding track. The strings are blooming awesome... Jonny has done good.

I hope the LP continues with this sound, which is a world away from TKOL and as much about Jonny as Thom... I just hope we don't have to wait too long.

The video is inspired... and all the more so if you watched the TV programs this is based on as a kid... you have to be very old though :D ... and yes, I used to watch with my mum.

STILL haven't checked out this new track, I know I'll love it though, Radiohead have been by far my fave band for at least 15 years, everything Thom Yorke has done on the side has been amazing too. Its exciting to think there could be a new album on the way.

What's everyone's fave album? Kid A is mine, it gets a mixed response but I love it :)

If the new album is at the same quality as these two released tracks this is going to be one amazing album.

I've been thinking a bit how Radiohead are going to be looked at when they are no more a bit like looking back at Bowie's discography.

It's only then they are going to be considered to be a pretty amazing band. I think at the moment we are spoilt and take it for granted.
