****The Official Captain America: Civil War Thread ****

Everyone should know by now, that all the movies Marvel have released all have one or two end credits scenes. Never, ever leave before them!

But why do it? If it's part of the film then make it part of the film, don't make people suffer through the credits just for a few extra minutes of footage

Had a few issues with it personally:

Literally nothing happened in the story, by the end we're basically back where we started.

How on earth did Tony not manage to subdue both Bucky and Cap... close quarters or not, that was a bit forced.

Spiderman was shoehorned in (however he was greatly amusing and kicked ass)

Did Gwyneth Paltrow just not want to be in the films anymore?!

Where's Nick Fury gone? Didn't even get a mention. Surely he'd have something to say about the Socovia accords.

Why didn't they use the 5 super soldiers...! That would have made a much more exciting "enemy".

They're an added bonus for dedicated fans. They're not required parts of the plot. The one after the credits has no impact on anything, it's just a bit of a fan easter egg.

Spidey had to be in it as he was sorely missed in the last Avengers movie.
It was a good idea of introducing him at his home with Tony Stank :D and YouTube basically saving us from an unnecessary and redundant origin movie again.

I liked it. Never felt bored. Full of well choreographed action.

Lots of continuity issues.. Especially with Tony / Iron man from previous films.

Given we know from IM3 that the iron man suits are detachable and from avengers 2 that he has Veronica and armour replacement drones he should have really been well on top of that fight with cap and Bucky. Again you feel the mark 7 suit would have taken more abuse than the one he used in this film. I don't know if we are meant to assume due to his semi retirement he is putting less time into there development?

Also I really don't like the full CGI Iron man look they have going on.

As the guy above says where is nick fury

The bad guy was so convoluted it almost fries your brain. What a horrendously complicated plot for a bad guy.

If visions attack did that much damage to war machine what would it have done to Falcon who he was supposed to be aiming for lol. Cut him in half?

Captain Americas discussion with Spider-Man about what Tony had said to him was a pretty weak moment.

Regarding pepper if they didn't want to pay for her to be in the film just say she is elsewhere like they do with Jane? Why make up some story about them been on a break. It's unclear if we are supposed to assume there breakup is related to his change of heart.

I am not sure what Hawkeye brought to the situation

Ant man took a lot of abuse when he was huge despite there never have being any suggestion that he has any superpowers beyond strength when small. Similar to the argument about quicksilver tearing through ultrons bots..

It's unclear what vision thinks about the situation at the end. I almost expected him to own up to meaning to hit war machine?

Saw this yesterday, liked it a lot but it did have issues.

Spidey and Ant-Man were great, the best parts of the movie had them in.

I know I am going to get flamed to death for saying this but I actually enjoyed BvS more over all even with all the issues it had.

Also getting sick to death of Stan Lee...

One thing I didn't get
Why did Helmut want to go to Siberia and destroy those other winter soldiers? And how did he know that the superheroes would find him (and hide behind the glass)? Couldn't he have merely released footage of Bucky killing Toby's parents on the internet or something - or was that video there(who filmed that anyway, out there in the woods!?)? Maybe I am missing something here...

Saw this today thought it was good, but I much prefer the second movie and even the first in parts.

Too many superheroes all vying for screen time prevented any real meaningful character development with Cpt America, which is part of the reason I enjoyed the first two movies and partly why I didn't enjoy the Avenger movies as much.

Saw this yesterday, and it bored me so much that I actually dozed off for about 20 minutes in the middle. Just after Spidey's intro, iirc.

The editing was consistently "off" -- something about it just didn't sit right, so much that the entire narrative presentation felt lax.

Ant Man and Spidey were the best things about it (and Bucky).

Best part of the entire thing: Ant-Man/Vision's "Something just flew inside me!" moment. :D

I loved it. At the beginning it did feel a bit lax and sloppy but it picked up later on and I loved every minute of it. After I was disappointed by Ageof Ultron, this felt like a move back to form.

If they killed off Bucky I would've been really disappointed. He's one of my favourite characters. I also hope that Vision evolves or dies and they put Jarvis back in the suit, I felt Vision was a very weak character.

Watched it last night and thought it was very good! That much so that I've had my arm twisted to go with another mate tonight to watch it again :)

Watched it last night and for me whilst it was entertaining it seemed to lack "something" which "The Winter Soldier" had so I'd give it a solid 6/10.

So first off, the "bad bits" - I thought it's pretty bad that the best bit everyone talks about are the two cameo's (Spidey/AntMan), RDJ and Chris Evans just don't seem motivated any more and lacked energy (either phenomenal acting or they're just sick of the characters), I felt Vision was a wasted character, the maskless Iron Man CGI was awful for such a big budget movie, Baron Nemo was a poor villain and finally the ending lacked the gravitas that the comic had and was a massive cop out.

"Good Bits" - Spidey and AntMan, both seemed to have the "tone" right, Black Panther was given enough dialogue to make him an interesting character rather than another bland one (I'm looking at you Vision), Hawkeye returning and giving Scarlet Witch a reality check, the airport scene which, whilst stupidly over the top, gave each pair of fighters some time together, Falcon being give more to do than be a sidekick and did I mention Spidey and AntMan? :D

"Meh Bits" - The story, anything Black Widow did, wasting Crossbones at the beginning and the pacing which felt too slow at the start, too fast in the middle but about right at the end.

Saw this in 4DX and loved every minute of it...

I can't believe people are slating it when TFA is so well revered and that film is clearly ****
