How much do you drink?

It is to much I will admit, but not enough to be remotely tipsy.
I never used to drink the way I do. However I excercise a lot so I feel little effect in myself and on my waist..

I guess everyone has their vice.

But it is nice to see some of you cutting back and in some cases stopping completely

Its good that you excercise but that wont help your liver. It would worry me if i drank 3 pints and didn't feel any effect.

I think I had a drink in April when out for a birthday meal. Before that I think I might have had a little one on Boxing Day. Not really a drinker me.

That's not a general amount for you is it droolinggimp? Id be a bit concerned if it were!

Nah! Probably have 2 bottles of red per week and maybe 2 lots of 4 cans of fosters. Come on, give me slack here.:(. I just got married and needed to unwind before the ceremony and get hammered after:eek::cool::p:D:)

Fair enough, although 6 pints of average strength beer a week is currently the recommended amount to keep low risk of cancer and liver disease.

Erm, it isn't "recommended" is it? It's the level you should stay at or under to not increase to medium/high risk. The way you say it makes it sound like drinking 6 pints a week is better than drinking nothing...

Not that much. Sometimes make a double spirit +mixer, but usually only have one or two in a night. Usually just when I feel like it.

Nights out.. best part of a bottle of Jagermeister for pre? :D

Can anyone remember the conclusion to that BBC documentary they did, with the two brothers who are doctors, comparing binging vs drinking the same amount spread out?

Had 3 pints, 3 gin and lemonades and 2 shots on my lunch break today but it's allowed. I'm a student :D

Other than that, maybe 1 or two points a week. I'll have a binge evey couple of weeks

I don't drink anything apart from on a few close friends birthdays and at weddings I'm invited to personally that I have to attend but are insanely boring.

Because I drive never during the week. I might have a beer on a Friday or Saturday night depending on whether I drive the following day (weekends off)

Coffee on the other hand... I think if you cut me I would bleed espresso... :D :p

Since New Year I think I've drank 1 or 2 normal sized bottles of cider...

I go out maybe 4-5 times a year and drink a lot of spirits mainly. Not a fan of lager, ale or bitter.

Also rarely drink coffee or tea. mostly it is water or squash with maybe a couple of cans of pepsi a week.

This is classed as being a functioning low tier alcoholic. Go tell your doctor this and you will find they will most likely agree with this (non medical advice)

Sunday before last: 6 pints at the clurb
Last Tuesday: 4 pints at the clurb
Last Wednesday: 6 pints at Kelso after the races
Sunday: 4 pints at the clurb

One time I used to get tipsy after 1 or 2 pints, now I can drink 10 and still feel fine and be up sharp in the morning for work again.

I'm a drinking machine.

Honestly......

I don't tend to drink In the week due to my job and can't function hungover but Friday I can polish off a bottle of vodka easy every week and at 33 I can't remember the last weekend I didn't do this.

it's kinda like blowing off steam knowing I don't have any responsibility the next day...... And always seems to start as soon as I get home from work around 4pm lol

I've had a few sober weekends but they don't tend to last long but it doesn't spill into the week that often. I try to replace it with coffee but ends up being worse and can't sleep and coffee Judders all night and it's worse than being drunk lol.

Normally between 8-12 pints between Friday after work and Saturday late evening. With the occasional extra 1 or 2 on Sunday. I don't go out anymore however unless its an event, just chill with an ice cold beer playing computer games lol

I have however started to put a bit of weight on due to it so cutting back a bit, only had 5 over the whole weekend past and won't be buying any this weekend at all.
