I very much hope it's a hard launch though, since they're letting the 1080 launch before even revealing final details.

Hopefully they can get their cards out before the 1070, or at least at practically the same time.

Vega HBM2 will surpass 980 ti sli by a good margin with only 235w.

People people calm down.. Its not going to launch until at a later date. The message said Polaris updates not Polaris launch, where as they did say A-series cpu's would launch. Dont go on the hype train folk. I myself is looking much forward to Polaris but i think its best to keep it cool to avoid disappointment

Agree. At most it'll probably just be confirming what range of cards they'll be launching with (probably low & mid) & when abouts the official launch is.

I think you are right. We will likely just get a little more information 1st June, maybe some performance info would be nice.

But full unveiling with price, release date, demonstration etc will likely be between 14-16 June at E3.

They may lose some sales if they don't give out any meaningful information on 1st June though. But I have decided to wait for full Polaris details even if it means until e3.

I simply refuse to pay milk'em edition prices to nvidia. It is just the principle of the thing, I would rather wait then bend over. Part of me does not want to give them any money at all with the way they take the biscuit constantly out of their customers.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling Polaris is going to be a much better card than most people expect (~GTX 980) and come with a much lower price-tag (~230£).

if AMD doesnt do a paper launch at least june 1st, then polaris 10 is way slower than 1070 and wont be competing with it.
