Official E3 2016 thread.

I can't see how at 499 they can get a consol to play 4k games smoothly, the price itself is guess work I'd have to say it would start at 599 which would price most people out instantly

Well its a long way out still, massive optimization on a fixed console rig means they get every bit out of the hardware.

DX 12 as well.

That's what I'm wondering but I don't think you'll be able to. I have a feeling Microsoft will be throwing the kitchen sink at this thing and possibly subsidising a big chunk of the price. All just wild guessing though. :p

it is, but Sony did that with the PS3, sold the units at a loss to get blu ray in homes.

It is all wild guessing.

Sony themselves had a lot invest in Blu-Ray in "making it" at the time though, they through millions in all areas to get BluRay the defacto HD medium.

Anyone else think Sea of Thieves looks interesting? I never play online with friends so think I might miss out on the fun of it, but I can't help but be interested by the gameplay they showed.

Sony's are always so late :( It would be fine but last year it was 2 hours or something. Do we know how long it will be? Looking forward to Ubi's, always the most fun.

Yes, I didn't realise it would go into so much detail being a pirate lol, drinking games, adjusting the sails..pulling up the anchor etc.

Seems kinda free to roam then if yo happen upon anyone else in the sea they can decide to start fighting you.

Probably the same, 1.5 to 2 hours but it doesn't help when they start late at 2.15am every year.

The ship actually filling up with water and sinking looked impressive too. Hard to tell how much scope the game has but I'm certainly interested

worked though. And even MS pay Sony for license to use blu ray. So , Sony did in the end profit from that venture.

Well no, they don't, they pay the consortium of Blu Ray for that, Sonys plan was because of the films being released on BR at the time HD-DVD had other studios not using BluRay, Sonys investment was purely for its entertainment side, they got nothing from any licensing etc.
