Official E3 2016 thread.

Well Nintendo wins the most boring conference of 2016, 14 minutes in and I can't take any more of this rubbish.

Just finished watching the Ubisoft presser:

For Honor still looks something I want, though dont really care for the backstory of the single player campaign - really doesnt work.

Watch Dogs 2 didnt offend me, setting it in SF helps a lot - just far more lively city and very much fits in the hacking idea, it really feels like they just looked at GTA5 for the sequel.

How the heck isnt Steep announced as VR compatible - its like made for VR, especially as it doesnt seem to be a form of locomotion Ive seen tackled yet.

Enjoyed the not-so-subtle dig at Vivendi at the end, the industry is definitely a better place with Ubisoft as it is than without...

Really good presser, actually all but EA were solid, if not good. EAs was one of the worst Ive ever seen, dont do EA Play again, they just dont have the creative titles

ps3ud0

Yeah if your not into Pokemon or Zelda the there's no reason to watch Treehouse today, just demos of these games will be shown, as previously announced.

Nintendo don't have enough content for a conference

This is true for this year, but its not the reason for them no longer doing conferences at E3.

EDIT:
Well, they have a new console coming out next year so of course they have stuff they could show. The timing does not suit however, which is why Nintendo stopped doing conferences at E3 several years ago. The prefer to do things on their own terms.

E3 isn't the 'be all and end all' for game industry announcements, most new game announcements happen outside of E3, it's just an ideal opportunity for getting attention.

Just got around to watching the Sony conference and thought the first 30 minutes were awesome but it went downhill fast as soon as they started the VR piece.

Loved the God of War demo, the look of Days Gone and Horizon but Detroit is the one that interested me the most. Fahrenheit's still one of my favourite games and although I didn't enjoy Heavy Rain as much I still had a great time playing it.

Grr, Nintendo should just give up on hardware and put their games on the other systems. This looks really good but there's no way I'm wasting money on another bit of kit.

The one Nintendo franchise I like is Metroid but I'd never buy a single other game on their system so I've missed most of them. I always wished I could purchase them for another system but these days I often just watch a YT run of a game while doing housework or at work in the 2nd screen so I don't mind so much :p
