Official E3 2016 thread.

Grr, Nintendo should just give up on hardware and put their games on the other systems. This looks really good but there's no way I'm wasting money on another bit of kit.

I'm with you on that. This may well be the first Zelda since the nes original I don't end up playing.

Pandering to the lowest common. Mobile gaming, facebook gaming, Kinnect, Wii; all these gimmicks exist for them, it's a shame because its resources that could be better spent on actually achieving great games.

Wow.

Yeah why should we try and evolve technology.

Honestly blaming VR on Candy Crush is a new one.

Is it school holidays already? Stupidest comment I've seen in the thread is how VR gaming is serving the lowest common denominator. Love to see the working out - you'll get marks for it...

****ing quantum computing encouraging reality TV shows

ps3ud0

People who say VR is a gimmick blatantly haven't tried it, or have tried something very limited like Cardboard or GearVR.

The constant comparisons to 3D games/movies is tiring. They are nothing alike. VR has rejuvenated my interest in gaming to the point where normal "2D" gaming doesn't really excite me anymore at all.

What Sony is doing in terms of content (hardware still lacking) with PSVR at E3 is brilliant and will push the VR platform along to the next level for ALL VR gamers.

Well I'm not at all hyped for it (VR), but then I've never tried it. Will keep an eye on PSVR but right now I can't see myself buying in to it.

Every gamer (no, everbody) owes it to themselves to try a good VR solution at least once.

It's something you need to try in person rather than rely on other people's opinions. If you still don't like it then fair enough, but in general people are blown away by being "in" a world.

This is all with Gen 1 hardware too which has its faults, so the future is very promising.

I tried a Samsung VR - you will be amazed just now good it is. Resolution was a bit low, but the scale you felt and the full 360 degree was amazing, the VR videos I watched, I swore I was really there.

Watching videos really does't do VR justice. If you try it and don't like it, least you've tried it.

Only problem I had is the Samsung VR headset felt a bit awkward on my head as I wear glasses so had to take my glasses off.

Can't say I'm fussed about VR either. Even if I was it'd be out of the question for me. I suffer chronic migraine syndrome and the amount of people that have told me they experienced dizziness and headaches after using or trying VR doesn't sit well with me at all.

Looks like I'm giving it a miss, though I hardly feel I'm missing out if I'm honest.
