Astonished and surprised. I didn't think the people of the UK would have the stomach for it but seems it did. Shame on those who didn't vote.

Why shame on those who didn't vote? Some of us are neutral. I don't mind either result and didn't vote. I could see positives and negatives of each.

Just got a call from work and I'm going in 2 hours early. The shock on the financial markets is more severe than the one that occurred after Lehman collapsed in 2008. All I can say is good luck to you all, particularly those low skilled, high schooled educated voters who supported Leave overwhelmingly. :)

Sure, Sell Sell Sell

It wouldn't be crashing as bad if Remain didn't constantly talk down the economy incase of brexit, they should have just put the positive case forward but mope when with Project Fear, what a bunch knobheads.

Brexit, love it

Or in the real world, talked about what would happen not blind fantasy.

I wonder how long it'll take before it dawns on people that 'project fear' was actually project reality and the 'positive case' is an unattainable fantasy world.

I bet 7/1 on leave and made £32.50 out of a fiver, thanks great Britain I can buy my sausage roll from gregs :D

The remain parade is sooo but hurt lool

Because traders get their data from the BBC and Daily Mail, rather than independent analysis they pay significant sums for?

This statement just shows how out of touch you are with the financial system.

Worst result possible. We have already seen the value of the pound tank and I imagine when the stock markets open the FTSE will tank as well (as well as most other European stock markets).

Well people were told this would happen by numerous experts on the subject and yet they still voted to leave. Don't be surprised when the price of living goes up because of the weak value of the pound.

Not sure if serious?

You think trading algorithms are reacting to the negativity of the remain campaign, as opposed to what they factually stated would happen?

I imagine petrol will go up pretty sharpish since oil is traded in dollars.

Not sure if serious, but all trading is based on nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Its good to see you have such a good grasp on how international money markets work :D

Hint : that was sarcasm and you show you don't have a clue

But tbh, I expect the pound will rally by the end of the day, though will stay volatile for a while, jitterring on every announcement. Some people are going to make a killing ;)
