Good thing my passport expires in 2018. Should be able to get a new one in time with us securing an exit deal. Small silver lining I guess.

Wondering whether I should go through with my house purchase now......
Do we think Cameron will actually take us out on a 2% majority?

Ok these guys must realise your are the lesser group in this Country and its time to change and move forward with the direction we are moving in.....

Well I'm nervous now about how this will affect us.

Will it affect our cost of living?
What will happen to the £?
Will the finance industry move to Frankfurt?
People's careers?
Trade and import costs?
Will this make us 'closer' to the USA?
How will this affect our economy?

I don't give a **** about immigration that's the least of my concern.

I'm all for change usually, but that's in a controlled way with lots of mitigation and knowledge, I don't think anyone really knows what's going to happen now which is what makes me uneasy. I'm really nervous about things because I don't know how this is going to work.

I think this is just a roar of defiance towards government. I just hope people didn't do it blindly. Because we are a tiny country with very little power independently so I hope this works out okay.

Well true im not that knowlagable about business stuff like tax, the way i read this.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Value-added_tax_(United_Kingdom)#History

When i said that VAT was a EU thing (as in we switched to it in 1973) as in i mean it was from joining the EU, replacing what we used to have which was purchase tax.

So i dunno if that is all correct but all i said was that being in the EU we were using VAT which was a EU thing. Now that we will be leaving i said we could adjust it like lower it a bit, based on someone elses post about something. I never said it would be removed or changed i just said it could. So why the hate on me for this i dunno.

Jesus christ

Must sting for all those die hard remainers that were spewing vitriol everywhere lol :D

This is why you should learn to play nice, you look stupid after lol. Still, we've got at least another 2 years of remaining and we'll see what happens after we have, might renegotiate a position from the outside or whatnot.

OK so hands up whose job could be chaos today *raises hand*

Imagine what it'll be like on the market floor :s funds going to lose millions.

Not chaos but I expect several good clients will put projects on hold and the building industry will tank hard as it collapses at the merest hint of instability.

I'm glad I don't have a mortgage. Good luck to those on a variable rate.

It's going to suck when it's just England and Wales left. Goodbye to the Scotch and NORN IRON.

I look forward to a hospital a week. When's that starting?

Next week.
