Well I guess thats what happens when you ignore the electorate for years. I expect over the years if the governments had thrown a bone or two to the public over the EU (I'm looking at Marstict (sp) treaty here) rather than saving it up for years the outcome might have been different

Give it a few weeks and the pound will come back to where it was - money makers are good at one thing and all we have done it spoilt their plans for a bit - they will work out hoe to make money again and things will trot on as if nothing happened

lol the Brexit camp are trying to slam the brakes on article 50 now they realise what has happened.

Cameron's done anyway, the least he can do is refuse to honour the result before stepping down. This result was a protest against the government but to actually think you'd be better off it we carried on down this path is insane.
Insane for voting leave, but disrespecting democracy -that's all above board according to you. Amazing.

Are we ever going to believe the pollsters again? They failed to get it right yet again. Some people need to lose their jobs TBH.

Facts and figures don't lie. But when you said "I don't give a **** about immigration that's the least of my concern"

That's what started all this. But at least you can go back to France and hope for the best.

Nah it didn't.

And I'm happy hear with my family for now. But luckily I have options and foreign investment so yes I can leave. Luckily I have British nationality as well.

You cannot possibly claim to know voter intent. Cameron needs to respect public opinion and crack on with Article 50. There is no going back.

wow - really surprised, i didn't really think it would happen.
I still think we will be ok, we just need to calm down and act like adults.

all my friends on facebook are blaming racists but i blame the EU for becoming so divorced from the people and being so arrogant.

A lot of my lefty friends always blame racism on everything but never actually using common sense and logic :p

Well that didn't go down well. Wonder when the frontier will close? 30,000 people under house arrest. But together we will move forward both here and in the uk.

I really didn't think I would feel this gutted if we left.

If you'd have asked me months ago if I would feel like this if we left id have laughed because I thought I wasn't that bothered, and that's me as thinking I wanted to leave back then too, now I realise how much I did care and I am glad I voted remain.

Well, much as I desperately wanted to remain, I will get behind Britain's decision.
I have confidence that we will recover and be as great as we always were.

So, might as well say "Happy independance day" and keep my chin up and have faith that Britain will prevail.

I will need to do the same. It'll be tough. But well said. No point in moaning about it, we are where we are. Let's face the music and dance

Congratulations exit voters, you just wiped 10% off the UK economy. Bankers only managed 8% back in 2007. You bleeding morons.
