They do look sure of themsleves, hope they deliver !!!

I just looked at his sig. But good idea if he did, as crossfire is only good for people who do not play games on release.

If not I would be interested in one if sold at a sane price :p

I would think about cfx in vr if it wasn't crap and if there wasn't exclusivities

at least he was the owner of the "World First HBM GPU" which i think that was the only reason behind the release of Fiji, that sentence on AMD's resume.

Lol. Yeah, a shame really. The timing of it just felt all wrong. 4GB card for premium product which should have been 8GB. Also no DX12 games out to make the GCN architecture shine.

I am hoping with the Vega architecture and minimum 8GB HBM2 VRAM, it will end up being a big win for AMD and the must have card. To be honest if 1080Ti end's up being GDDRX5 and Vega has HBM2 and does not beat the 1080Ti, it will be very sad.

Pc per is doing a live stream with Raja next Wednesday.

I love the marketting vs launch product disconnect. Average performing card..... just saying.

But it cant be! they are saying this card is so us normal mortals can join the 1% who buy $500+ enthusiast cards in our gaming.

Again comes back to AMD saying the $199 480 gives you $5000 card performance. Fingers crossed.

Btw i doubt they put this kinda message for just '390x performance' imho smthng big is coming smthng that is at least on Fury pro level

There was that teaser earlier referring back to the 4850 and 4870.

I remember when they were launched, blew Nvidia away with the bang for buck.

I think I solde my old Nvidia card a week before launch for £180 and picked up a £130 4850 which was way faster.

And didnt Nvidia immediately have to drop the price of their cards by £100 or something?

From Tom's Hardware:

Because the RX 480 requires just 150 W of power, the power from the PCI-E slot and the six-pin connection are adequate to keep the card running. This version of the RX 480 may have limited overclocking headroom, however, so if you plan to overclock the RX 480, you probably want to hold off for AMD’s partners to release custom board designs of the GPU.

So reference card will not OC impressively due to 6pin connector, but partner cards with extra power connector will be able to do better...
