Ultimately it's the government's problem, they are the ones in control, nobody else.

if they are in control

then the will of the people can be ignored

you can't have it both ways

if we had a vote for Petrol tax going up - would it win ? NO - is it right for the government to do it anyway of course

as it is in the INTEREST OF THE COUNTRY

which is what the government are there for

I don't think it's unreasonable for people clamouring for change to be able to spell out what changes they want.

or just stick it to the man because the people are sick of the government in this country and thus voted against what was expected?

Quote: "The simple answer to the question as to whether the EU referendum is legally binding is “no”. In theory, in the event of a vote to leave the EU, David Cameron, who opposes Brexit, could decide to ignore the will of the people and put the question to MPs banking on a majority deciding to remain."

The leave campaign points on why the UK should leave the UK are now all being retracted by the very people that promoted them. Why does not David Cameron now retract on what he initially said and say to the country thank you for you view but the UK will not leave the EU but with your mandate we will now seek to get even more from the EU from within the EU. So simple.

Pardon by ignorance (genuinely) isn't one of the supposed advantages is we can retire and move to Spain under the current/former rules? Pensioners aren't moving to find employment.

It varies from country to country. Under EU law, retirees, students and the self-employed have no rights to residence. However, most countries aren't realistically going to chuck these people out unless they break the law in a serious way.

Because he tried to get a better deal and they sent him back with his tail between his legs and nothing else. The man could not negotiate himself out of a paper bag.

Then it's something the government should have addressed, even if it was stating that a Yes vote would have triggered his resignation and a new general election.

Anything the Leave campaign stated in the campaign could only ever be something that would (or might) have been possible post exit, as non of them have any power to act on it.
