You say it was 51.9 to 48.1. If people switched:

Leave would go to down by 7% of 51.9% and up by 4% of 48.1% = 50.2%

Remain would go down by 4% of 48.1% and up by 7% of 51.9% = 49.8%

No, you're using percentage of the voters as a whole, rather than the percentage of a particular side, as stated in the post you quoted.

7% of the people who voted leave is 1,218,751
4% of the people who voted remain is 645,649

Therefore that would be a swing of 573,101 to remain, not enough to cover the 1,269,501 lead Leave had.

Conservatives and Labour appear to be in deep troubles according to the news the past few days .

I'm hoping the election happens and Labour will be brave enough to pledge not to push the big red button.

I'm in a Labour/Tory swing seat (Stroud). Whilst I would generally vote LD (or consider Green), I would switch to a stay-in-Labour for this one. There's no policy more important to consider.

oh don't bring facts into it... some elements of the press are still trying to milk the idea that the non-Barnsley yokel element of the leave camp were all lied to and now regret their decision because some numbers on the stock market are red instead of green and everyone is getting worried in general

most of these %s are a bit dodgy anyway as they tend to be pulled from small sample size polls

Found the source and edited it into my post. It was a Survation poll for the Daily Mail.

Gilly did say that you choose not to have a say. Voting and it meaning nothing isn't the same as choosing not to vote. Attempting to have a say and being denied it is different than choosing not to have one.
