Can't believe Borris isn't standing up to be counted. Couldn't put his money where his mouth is. Disappointed but not surprised I guess. What a buffoon that guy is.

he's completely bottled it when Gove stabbed him in the back, utter coward

Gove by announcing his standing obviously intended to put May in the PM position as he knew she would win. It's all a fix so that she gets the job.

**** it, we've got one more chance - we've had outsiders come through in the past - Stephen Crabb can play the more moderate, unity leader card, he's a long shot but he'd be a good choice. I don't trust May.

the Northern powerhouse will now be known and become more so the northern poor house. Enjoy your civil liberties now boys and girls, because you are about to lose them.............

With all the forthcoming action over the next two or three or more years, I doubt there will be much time for security bills.

Pity HM opposition is but a faint shade on the wall at parliament.

I would prefer May, she has a proven track record and is a tough, no-nonsense character.

That presumes there are never miscarriages of justice. Unfortunately, there are.

The chance of putting innocent people away is higher when everyone is under surveillance.

That's far too simplistic, some surveillance actually diminishes this.. e.g. CCTV.. it shows far more 'proof' than an eye witness making things up..

I think the subject is more dimensional than the EU situation, lets not drag the thread down that path..

Yeah he's a joke - It's going to be difficult for whoever stands next, with the referendum decided they need to start the brexit process and whoever stands will be forever remember by this...

I really hope Teresa May doesn't stand - Right now, I haven't got a clue who I'd side with in an election - If the Liberal Democrats got themselves together they could win it outright next time!

really - if anything the people who are most at risk of losing out over this are people working in the city... some have made money off the recent vol but that isn't necessarily great for some of them if a decent % are sacked before they can collect their bonuses next year. In case you missed it some of the strongest lobbyists for 'remain' were the big banks.

take a look at the rumblings from France for example... 'EEA-' deal in return for allowing immigration controls... we keep free trade as usual and lose financial services passporting. Easy sell to the general public - control immigration and **** over 'the bankers'. Unfortunately we'd take a bit of a hit economically as 'the bankers' do actually generate revenues which is why France and Germany have been jealously eyeing up the City for some time.

16% of our GDP isnt it? That would hurt a lot losing a big chunk of that,
