You do realise people genuinely value Britain being an independent country over a lot of other things? It's not like some abstract concept, we do not want laws dictated to us by people who don't even speak our language

The way Europe was heading we had no choice. Self rule was more important to me than immigration.

The remainers have cotton wool in their ears thinking "oh Europe is OK this very day". Too short sighted to think of the future. It was a lucky escape.

Oh dear Carswell set to be kicked out of UKIP on Monday cause "he has totally different viewpoints to the party"

Money on Farage standing in his place?

http://order-order.com/2016/07/01/fa...pelled-monday/

That wouldn't trigger a by-election or affect Douglas Carswell's position as an MP unless he then chose to resign as an MP. He would simply become an independent until/unless he joined another party.

I don't know if Nigel Farage would choose to compete against him at the next round of elections though of course.

Seriously you are saying on a public forum that you will turn to voilence against the state if you dont get your own way?

Its sad what this country has come to :(
Where has he actually said that in his post?

You are putting words in his mouth and making stuff up out of what people post that disagree with your and many other remain voters opinions.

It is like the quote i have seen from a lot of remain voters, "all racists are leave voters" etc, really, do people think that out of everyone that voted remain none of them are racist at all, that is a joke.

I am waiting for some of the older generation to be the next attacked by some of the remain voters who think the oldies shouldn't have had a vote, and consequently they have destroyed their wonderful EU loving lives.

Hyperbole, sobbing and feet stamping = remain.

I find this sentiment by some of the remain camp hilarious. The older generations are the ones with the most experience of what the EU is, yet the younger generation complaining that their futures have been destroyed have no idea. They have been sheltered from the majority of the negatives and have only ever seen or experienced some of the positives.

Just funny that they say they want people 60+ to not have had a vote becasue they won't have to live with the decision, likewise i say people 25 and under should not have had a vote as they don't have the life experience to justify a leave or remain vote.

Suggesting those over 60 should not have a vote is preposterous.

Their views hold equal weight to those of younger generations. It is just that though: equal.

Absolutely. Though saying under 25s shouldn't get a vote is also preposterous.

Indeed.

Many of these younger generation have been brought up to not experience failure. Which is where quite a bit of their anger is coming from along with the ********* sentiment towards them.

I was using it as an example with how silly it is for them saying that people 60+ shouldn't have been able to vote.

And you realise that we had our sovereignty before we voted.

According to Liverpool University Professor on EU constitutional law that is a fact they teach in the first year law course there.

Or is it still sensible to ignore experts in the field.

We're in Post-factual politics. People really are tired of experts. They'll vote however they want, without any reference to facts or debate.

it is not that people are tired of experts, people are tired of people coming out as experts who have an obvious financial gain out of something. Such as the bankers and large business leaders. So we already know their views are very biased in regards to the EU.

We don't want someone who has researched and studied this exact field for 20 years to give us an insight as to whether leaving was a bad idea or not.....

He is a university professor who has spent 20 years of his professional life researching this exact subject.

I am talking about a specific range of experts. Considering most of the people they brought up in papers and on the TV had an obvious financial gain with staying in the EU.

Is that like the person that said we paid £20b to the EU, something demonstrably incorrect, and you just accepted it as fact?

Are you accepting the point of sovereignty, was a myth from the leave camp as explained in the linked video.

Considering the day after the brexit vote they revealed more plans for turning the EU into a super state, the UK would have eventually been pulled into.
