If they keep all their players this summer and get a few more in I don't see why they can't do well in Europe. Their style is more Athletico than Real but that hasn't hurt Athletico in the recent past.

Real Madrid's asking price for Morata is supposedly £57m, he's not worth anywhere near that IMO. Crazy.

Their style might be similar to Atletico but their player's aren't nearly as good.

No, but I dont think that Athleticos squad is anything like as good as they play. They have top players in a couple of positions and beyond that they are largely functional and hard working. Leicester are the same but their top players aren't quite at Athleticos standard. Their manager also isn't as good.

I understand what you're saying but using Atletico as justification for thinking Leicester will do well in the CL is a bit of a stretch. Atletico are definitely a better side than their squad would suggest but their squad is still very good.

Leicester may very well play better than their squad should do but, imo anyway, the lack of quality in their squad will mean they're still going to be facing a massive up hill task to be competitive.

Oh definitely, I dont think they are going to win the thing but I think they will get out of their group and perhaps to the QF if they have a blinder.

Atletico have far more quality than Leicester, cant believe people are comparing after a one off Leicester season.

Atleti have been in 2 CL finals recently for christs sake.

Atleti have the experience ingrained in their players - thats the biggest problem for Leicester players imo - nerves on the night depending on who they draw in their group

Imagine them drawing Real / Dortmund for instance, its hard for players who know what they are facing to play against those teams, let alone those who are doing it for the first time.

Wish them the best of luck of course, but cant help but feel it may be a bit harrowing for some /most of them

loads of Matuidi rumours to United for £25mil have suddenly started appearing all over the show.

in two minds about him, never been really that impressed with him.

Half of these rumours (out of France) say he's going to Man Utd or Bayern for €25m. Wouldn't be a bad deal, but I'd rather have Pogba. Both would be great. :p

Matuidi looked great in the Iceland game but thats not hard (England excluded) and he has never impressed me before so perhaps he is just working his heart out for France.

The Leicester City players were good enough to beat everyone else in the Premiership last season. So I fail to see where you are coming from, unless you think Atletico are one of the best teams in Europe and better than anyone in the UK?

Some of City's player have already played in the CL, so that experience will come in handy, but they won't have any pressure on them; and we can all see there not bottlers like some other teams.

seeing as Atleti are one of the best teams in Europe not just in any one country, yes they probably are better than most (if not all) in the UK /EPL.

City players also have to get used to playing how Pep wants them to, and that might not be as easy as just clicking their fingers, not to mention any additions - above whats already happened - come in.

Bit of a "meh" signing , guessing its more of a sweetener to the agent before the Pogba deal gets any further along (maybe thats just me being cynical)

I've always been quite impressed by Matuidi when I've seen him, he's got great energy, decent enough in possession and good defensively. He'd add some energy and pace we severely lack in midfield, I think he'd be a great signing :o

Answering your question, yes I do think Atletico are better than any side in the PL.

And while Leicester proved to be the most consistent side in the PL last season, at their best, there were at least 6 sides that imo are/were far better sides that Leicester. You're not suggesting that Leicester had the best group of players in the PL last season are you?
